Bass Pro Shop Family Summer Camp – June 24 – July 23, (Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from Noon – 5 p.m.), FREE
- Crafts each day from Noon-2 p.m or while supplies last. Free family game area, workshops, and more.
RiverFest in Bellevue – July 21 (5 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.) and July 22 (7 a.m. – 12:30 a.m.)
- Live Music, Carnival, Fireworks, Helicopter Rides, Hot Rods at RiverFest, Car, Truck & Motorcycle show and State Championship BBQ Competition. RiverFest is $1 at the gate and the public is welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the music and fireworks; however, no coolers please. Location: Haworth Park, Bellevue.
Snakes of Nebraska at Mahoney State Park – July 22-23 (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.), FREE with Park Permit
- UNL professor Dennis Ferraro will be bringing his live snake collection. All 29 species of Nebraska snakes will be available to observe and ask questions about. Mr. Ferraro will speak at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. at the Riverview Lodge. There will be snake activities offered both days. This event is free. Park Entry Permit is required.
Tinkerfest at Omaha Children’s Museum – July 22 (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.)
- Children can learn about the world of inventors, makers, and DIYers during this hands-on festival at the museum. Mario “The Maker Magician” Marchese’s performances are included with Museum admission, but due to seating limitations, seats must be reserved here. Bring a toy to The Great Toy Take Apart during Tinkerfest. Children can also choose to swap an old toy with a new-to-them toy or simply donate one for others to take apart.
- Tinkerfest is included with regular museum admission. Activities are available while supplies last.
Family Fit Series – July 22 (10 a.m.), FREE
- Bring out the whole family for a fun morning of trying something new. A different fitness class offered each week taught by a certified instructor. Location: Elmwood Park, 802 S. 60th Street.

Music & Movies in Bayliss Park
- Movies will be shown every Friday night after dusk (around 9 p.m.) in June 9 – August 4 at Bayliss Park.

Summer Kids Camp at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema – June through August, 2017; $1-$5
- All summer long enjoy classic and family favorites for just $1, $3, or $5 — your choice! All proceeds benefit local non-profits (in Omaha, this includes The Hope Center, Omaha Children’s Museum, and Project Harmony Child Advocacy Center.)
- Kids Camp shows take place every day (with some exceptions) in matinee time-slots
