Summer Arts Festival – 6/8-6/10
- FREE! Omaha’s premier destination for art & entertainment. Featuring 135 of the nation’s finest visual artists, two stages of continuous entertainment including national performers and a large hands-on children’s fair. This is held annually in downtown Omaha, from 10th-15th on Farnam Street.
- AAA is hosting several free bike helmet fittings from 10-2pm at various AAA offices over the next two months. Free helmets will also be available to children ages 5-12, while supplies last.
Family Golf Day at Spring Lake Golf Course – 6/9, 3-5pm
- Bring your kids and golf for free! There will also be free hot dogs, chips, pop, bounce house, and climbing wall.
- Enjoy an evening of Scandinavian music, folk-dancing, ethnic foods, crafts, culture, and more. Free admission!
Midtown Crossing Monday Night at the Movies – 6/11
- Beginning Monday, June 11th (Field of Dreams), weekly inspirational sports-themed movies will be shown in Turner Park. Grab your blanket, enjoy some popcorn, and enjoy these free movies! Movie starts at dark.

Shadow Lake Towne Center Kids Club – 6/14, 10:30-11:30am
- Shadow Lake Towne Center offers Kids Club, a FREE hour of fun for children. A different activity is featured in a different store / restaurant each month.

College World Series – 6/14-6/26
- NCAA men’s baseball championship tournament also includes a free fan festival with games and entertainment. Thursday, June 14th is the Opening Celebration Day with many free activities.
Highlights of Upcoming National Events
Free Entrance to National Parks – 6/9
- Saturday, June 9, 2012, is Get Outdoors Day and over 100 national parks that usually charge entrance fees are offering free entrance that day. Find participating parks by state here.
National Geographic Little Explorers World Oceans Day Celebration at Pottery Barn Kids Stores Nationwide – 6/9, 10am
- Kids ages 3 and up are invited to enjoy hands-on activities, quizzes, songs, and more while learning all about dolphins, whales, and other marine animals.
Lowe’s Free Kids Build and Grow clinics – 6/9-6/10
- Lowe’s Kids Clinics are offered every other Saturday at 10am and Sunday at 2pm. Bring the kids to any Lowe’s store to build fun projects. This is recommended for children in grades 1st-5th. Registration opens a few weeks before each clinic’s date.
