U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Visiting Cabela’s in La Vista – 11/12, 4 – 7 p.m., FREE
- The Christmas tree that will grace the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol this holiday season will be in La Vista on Thursday afternoon! While the tree itself will be completely covered by tarps and not on display, the public is invited to view the truck and trailer and sign a banner wishing the tree a safe journey and sending local greetings to those who will receive the tree in Washington, D.C.

Sherlock Holmes & The First Baker Street Irregular at The Rose Theater – 11/6 – 11/22
- Written by the Rose’s playwright-in-residence, Brian Guehring, the show incorporates several different stories of the famous sleuth, and focuses on the backstory of the Baker Street Irregulars, a gang of street-smart youth making their way on the streets of London. Holmes often utilized this network of spy-kids in solving his cases, and the Rose’s original production looks at how he first came to rely on these unlikely allies.
