- Join Lutheran Family Services for a free family festival including pumpkin carving, fun kids activities, trick-or-treating, and lighting up of the tree of Jack-o-Lanterns. The tree will remain lit through Halloween.

- Games, popcorn and juice at the Benson Community Center and trick or treat at the businesses in downtown Benson. The Benson High School Band will play from 11:00 a.m. to noon.

- Creative canines of all kinds are invited to show off their costumes and go trick-or-treating. All participants are asked to pre-register for the event. The suggested donation for the Nebraska Humane Society is $10 per dog.
Spooktacular Kids Event at Target – 10/25, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., FREE
- Head to your nearest Target dressed in costume for spooky treats and deals from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. local time. While supplies last. Locations: Your local Target store, excluding TargetExpress.
Ghoulish Garden Adventure at Lauritzen Gardens – 10/25, 12 – 4 p.m. $5-$10
- Enjoy trick or treating at twelve different activity stations throughout the garden. Learn about pumpkins, spiders and other creepy crawlies, and make a few ghoulish crafts to take home. Costumes are optional. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Included with paid garden admission or membership. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children 6-12 and free for members and children under six.
Halloween Hoopla at Shadow Lake Towne Center – 10/25, 1 – 3 p.m., FREE
- Trick-or-treating, hayrack rides, special characters, pumpkin pie eating contest, and more!
Enchanted Forest at Hitchcock Nature Center – 10/25, 1 – 3 p.m., $10/family
- Wear your costumes and bring little ones for a special Peanuts themed trail. After the hike visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy pumpkin painting and carving (while supplies last), modern day apple bobbing, and refreshments. Cost is $10.00 per family, no pre-registration is required.
Trick or Treat in the Old Market – 10/25, 1 – 4 p.m.
- Participating merchants in the Old Market will be handing out goodies for the kids in this safe and fun daylight Trick or Treat event for the whole family!
Symphony Spooktacular – 10/25, 2 p.m., Holland Performing Arts Center, $12
