Omaha Public Library Halloween Events – 10/15-10/31
- Many events including storytimes, parades, crafts and more at Omaha Public Libraries.
Healthy Trick or Treat Nights at the Omaha Children’s Museum – 10/17 and 10/24, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
- These nights offer healthy treats for kids to collect at various stations around the museum. Included with regular museum admission.
Spooktacular at Omaha Zoo and Aquarium – 10/18-10/20, 10/26, 10/27, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., $7-$8
- Visit the Lied Jungle to see the free flying bats or stop by Kingdoms of the Night® to see the nocturnal animals during their daylight cycle. The evening includes admission to Omaha’s Zoo and Aquarium afterhours, trick or treating and fun activities like Boo Bowling or Penguin-Pickin-Apples. Get up close and personal with different Animal Ambassadors, special animals used for educating visitors.
Halloween Event at Bass Pro Shop – 10/19-10/31
- Free 4×6 photo with the Peanuts Characters, Crafts, Halloween Scavenger Hunt, Costume Parade, and Trick or Treating. See website for exact dates and times of all activities.
Papillion Fall Festival – 10/19, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Musical entertainment, carved pumpkin contest, face painting, balloons, vendors, costume parade and contest, storytime and crafts, and fall fashion show.
Kids Club at Michaels – 10/19, 10 – 11:30 a.m. on the 1/2 hour, $2
- $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Ages 3 and up are welcome to this event.
- Saturday, October 19th – Duck Tape Halloween Mask Event
Things That Go Grand Opening at the Omaha Children’s Museum – 10/19, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Be the first to visit Things That Go – the exhibit that is always on the move! Enjoy all things that go throughout the whole museum: bodies in motion, science in motion and transportation in motion.
Harvest Fun Days at Hummel Park Nature Center – 10/19, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., FREE
- Every Saturday in October are Harvest Fun Days at Hummel! Take a ride to our pumpkin patch, make fall crafts, explore the trails, play games, enjoy story time, and much more! FREE! Pumpkins are $2 each.
Trick or Treat with the Animals of Gifford Farm – 10/19, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., $5/child, adults are free
- Join us down on the farm for an afternoon of safe and fun trick or treating and some fun farm games. Find a special treat waiting for you at every station.
Crafts for Kids at Lakeshore Learning Store – 10/19, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., FREE
- Free Crafts for Kids every Saturday at Lakeshore Learning Store.

Tomato Tomato’s Fall Harvest Festival – 10/19, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., FREE
- Come enjoy free games, bouncy houses, pumpkin painting and all kinds of samples from over 35 of their vendors.
Search For Treats and Toys for Tots at Camp Fontanelle – 10/20, 2 – 4 p.m., $4-$6 or Free with Toy Donation
- Bring your candy bag and search for goodies as you try to conquer the maze. Bring a girls or boys new toy valued at $5 or more and get free admission! One toy = one free admission. Marines will receive toys 2-4 p.m.
Food Day Omaha at the Omaha Farmer’s Market – Aksarben Village, 10/20, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., FREE
- In addition to the Farmers Market, local food-related organizations and companies will provide children’s activities, cooking demonstrations and more to in order to engage with attendees about how to support sustainable farming and promote safe, healthy foods.
Family Skate at Motto McLean Ice Arena – 10/20, 3 – 5:15 p.m.
- Cost: $10.00 for family of 4, $3.00 for additional person. Includes: Admission, skate rentals, and drink.
