Last Weekend for the Nature Connects LEGO Exhibit at Lauritzen Gardens – 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily through May 19
- 500,000 LEGO® bricks, 27 amazing sculptures, 14 incredible displays, one unique experience. This exhibit is included with admission, $7 for adults, $3 for children 6-12 and free for garden members and children under six.
String Beans “Spring Into Summer” at Elmwood Park – May 17, 6 – 8 p.m., FREE
- Enjoy live music from The String Beans at this fun family event sponsored by the City of Omaha Parks and Recreation Department! Climbing wall and bounce houses, plus information on summer camps and programs.
Bridge Beats Friday Night Music Series – May 17, 7 p.m., FREE
- Bridge Beats is a free music series that will occur Friday nights at the Bob Kerrey Bridge Plaza. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. Plaza open at 5:30 p.m. Music starts at 7:00 p.m. Plenty of free parking at National Park Service & Rick’s Boatyard.
Celebrate CB: Parade, Carnival, and Children’s Faire – May 18
- Celebrate Council Bluffs with a parade at 10:30, followed by Children’s Faire and Carnival! (Carnival also on Friday, May 17, 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm)

Omaha Adventure Family Festival at Village Pointe – May 18, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., FREE
- This full day of fun includes interactive activities from The Durham Museum, Omaha Children’s Museum, Joslyn Art Museum, Lauritzen Gardens – Omaha’s Botanical Center, The Amazing Pizza Machine and First National Bank of Omaha. Omaha Heritage Festival – May 18, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
- Parade 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Family Fun at the Lewis & Clark Landing Noon to 10:00 p.m. Exhibitor tents, international food, live music, and children’s activities. The event is free for the cultural participants and the general public and donations are welcome.
