Veterans Day at The Strategic Air and Space Museum – 11/11 (Register by 11/6)
- The Strategic Air and Space Museum honors America’s military veterans with a special program and lunch on Veteran’s Day.
Mini Maker Faire at Barnes & Noble – 11/6 – 11/8
- The Mini Maker Faire will feature hands-on learning and making opportunities in the areas of ideation, creative thinking, art, design, construction and innovation, as well as programming, coding and 3D printing — with activities for children ages five and up to adults.

Sherlock Holmes & The First Baker Street Irregular at The Rose Theater – 11/6 – 11/22
- Written by the Rose’s playwright-in-residence, Brian Guehring, the show incorporates several different stories of the famous sleuth, and focuses on the backstory of the Baker Street Irregulars, a gang of street-smart youth making their way on the streets of London. Holmes often utilized this network of spy-kids in solving his cases, and the Rose’s original production looks at how he first came to rely on these unlikely allies.

SuperHero Night at the Omaha Children’s Museum – 11/6, 5 – 8 p.m.

A Palette of Possibility at The Rose Theater’s Hitchcock Stage – 10/29, 11/7, 11/14
- A Palette of Possibility is an interactive adventure designed with children on the autism spectrum in mind, with no blackouts, sudden lighting changes or loud noises. Children might engage with the actors on stage in the special theater-in-the-round setting.
Try Hockey for Free Day – 11/7, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., FREE
- In Omaha, this includes Moylan Tranquility Iceplex, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- This event is designed to provide kids, between the ages of 4 to 9, a completely free experience to try youth hockey. A limited amount of equipment is available to borrow. Register here.
Where Books and Art Meet – 11/7, 2:30 – 3:30 p.m., FREE, Registration Required
- Explore your creative side every week with art projects based on books and illustrations. Classes meet at South Omaha Library and are taught by professional artists and art teachers in partnership with Arts For All. For children ages 8-12.
Free Admission to Veterans and all Active Military at The Durham Museum – 11/8, 1 – 5 p.m.
- Veterans and all active military, enjoy complimentary admission on Sunday, November 8 in observance of the upcoming Veterans Day holiday. Show your military ID or mention you are a veteran at the front desk.
Little Gobbler Event at Hummel Park Nature Center – 11/8, 12 – 2 p.m., FREE
