- Candle Fun, hosted by Yankee Candle, in the Bellevue Medical Center Amphitheatre (*weather permitting). Learn more about candles and scents; and enjoy hands-on activities and demonstrations!
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska Health and Safety Expo – 9/13, Aksarben Village, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., FREE
- Over 80 companies and organizations are coming together to provide health and safety information for people of all ages and some fun activities and door prize drawings, too.
End of Summer Concert Series at Midtown Crossing – 9/13, 6:30 p.m., FREE
- All performances are free to the public with the venue opening at 5 p.m. Musicians and performers from UNO will serve as the opening act each night beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the headliner taking the stage around 7 p.m.

- FAMILY FARM DAYS: Bring the kids and learn about farms. Our “Farmtastic Friend” Karla will be teaching 30 minute segments to kids of all ages! A $2 per child donation is requested for the Food Bank.

The Moonshell Storytelling Festival – 9/14, 10:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m., FREE with park admission
- Nebraska StoryArts celebrates the Moonshell Storytelling Festival on Sept. 14, 2013, at Mahoney State Park. Four outstanding national and regional storytellers will take part in a daylong celebration to preserve the art of storytelling. The festival will offer storytelling concerts geared toward families with special events for adults and will conclude with ghost stories in the evening.
Heron Haven Wetland Festival – 9/14, 1 – 5:30 p.m., FREE
