Muppet Movie at Saddlebrook – 1/9, 5:30 – 8 p.m., FREE
- Join Kermit the Frog and Fozzie the Bear and many other puppets from Jim Henson as they go on an adventure. The first 60 children under the age of 16 through the door will receive a goodie bag to use in interacting with the movie.
- Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the show beginning at 6 p.m.
‘Balloonacy’ at The Rose Theater – 1/10 – 1/31, $10
- A solitary old man is steady in his silent routine until a mischievous balloon finds him and insists on becoming his friend. Through all the ups and downs of a new relationship, the balloon teaches the old man to play again. This sweet and inventive tale is packed with physical comedy especially suited for very young audiences (2 and up). 30 minutes.
Crafts for Kids – 1/10
- Michaels Kids Club: Stitched Felt Bag, 10 a.m. – noon. $2 per child for 30 minutes of creative craft fun. Ages 3 and up.
- Lakeshore Learning: Sweet Dream Catcher, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Free Crafts for Kids every Saturday. Ages 3 and up. No reservations required.
Community Free Day & Open House at Salvation Army Kroc Center – 1/11, 1 – 6 p.m., FREE
- To celebrate 5 years, everyone gets in FREE on 1/11, which includes use of Kroc Center gymnasium, fitness deck, fitness classes and pools.
Family Skate at Motto McLean Ice Arena – Sundays in January, 4:15 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Inside Hitchcock Park- 45th & Q.
- $10 for family of 4, $3 for additional person. Price includes: admission, skate rentals, and drink.
Scheels Kids Klub-Kick Off Party – 1/12, 6 p.m., FREE
- First Kids Klub will be a kick off party! Kids will get to make and fill a time capsule to take home. Please meet at the Coffee Bar. For kids ages 4-12. Parents are encouraged to stay with their children. Sign up at Customer Service is encouraged but not required.
