FREE Family Fun Fest at Papillion La Vista South High School – April 20, 9am-11am, FREE
- Over 40 area businesses will provide information ranging from summer camps and activities to resources and fun events for families, as well as pre-college opportunities. There will be lots of “freebies” and coupons from local businesses and attractions. While parents gather resources, students will be entertained with face painting, bounce houses, the Omaha Storm Chasers, and so much more!
Party for the Planet at the Omaha’s Zoo & Aquarium – April 20, 9am-3pm
- Celebrate Earth Day and discover ways you can help save our planet. There will be family fun activities for the whole family to enjoy. Event activities are free to Omaha’s Zoo and Aquarium members or with regular paid Zoo admission.
Earth Day Omaha 2013 – April 20, 11am-6pm, Elmwood Park, FREE
- This free event features exhibit booths, children’s activities, demonstrations and short speaker sessions, plus live music from top local bands and food from area vendors. All activities are designed to educate and inspire attendees to live green and healthy at home and at work. On-site electronics recycling will also be available.
Kicks for a Cure Soccer Exhibition at Morrison Stadium, Creighton University – 11am-9pm, FREE
- The event is FREE and open the public. The primary purpose of the weekend is to raise awareness for cancer education and prevention. Enjoy men’s and women’s high school and college matchups.
Green Bellevue Earth Day Celebration and 5K Run/Walk – April 21, 1-4pm, Everett Park, Bellevue
- There will be a ceremony, a 5k run/walk and 1 mile walk fundraiser, demonstrations, information and more!
