Smile Fest 2025

Smile Fest 2025, Share My Smile’s biggest COMMUNITY event of the year! With over 20 vendors, face painting, bounce houses, and more, Smile Fest creates a fun day for families and the community to connect and create lasting memories.  Smile Fest supports our mission by bringing families together in a joyful space that encourages genuine smiles, strong bonds, and lasting support for children in foster care.

​All proceeds from Smile Fest 2025 support Share My Smile whose mission is to provide family strengthening events and care programs for foster families to encourage true, honest, and happy smiles in children.  Since 2010, Share My Smile has been a lifeline for over 500 foster and adoptive children and families across Iowa and Nebraska. We work closely with community partners to nurture and support these families. Although we receive no government funding, the generosity of donors, sponsors, and fundraisers fuels our mission to bring hope and joy—ensuring every child feels loved and valued.

Outdoor Learning Series: Critter Clues

Explore nature-related topics with a park naturalist at Two Rivers SRA on Saturday mornings!

On August 16, the topic will be critter clues! Be a wildlife detective. Uncover critter clues left behind in the wild as you observe tracks, fur, scat and more.  The event will be held at the pavilion east of the Caboose Park.

This event series is free and all ages are welcome. A valid state park vehicle permit is required for entry.

Tiny Tot Fall Party & Fire Safety Storytime

Celebrate fall at A.V. Sorensen Branch and Community Center! At this Music & Movement, we will learn about fire safety with a local firefighter and even see a fire truck! After storytime, get the wiggles out in the gym and bounce in a bounce house!

We are inviting firefighters from our nearby station so they may not be able to make it if they receive a call.

The storytime focuses on early literacy skills through simple songs, dance, play and short stories designed for active toddlers and their participating caregiver(s). 

This free event is for children ages 5 and younger. Childcare groups, please call in advance.

Baseballoween

Baseballoween returns to Werner Park for the 15th straight year! As usual, the event is free and family-friendly, as the Werner Park gates open for the Omaha Metro to celebrate a fun-filled night at the stadium!

Baseballoween will take place on Friday October 23rd, from 5-8PM. The event will feature trick-or-treating, activity stations, and a family-friendly movie on the videoboard!

Costumes may not have guns or knives of any kind upon entry. Leashed dogs are welcome!

Food Drive benefitting Food Bank for the Heartland

We will be collecting donations for Food Bank for the Heartland upon entry to Baseballoween. Donations are encouraged but not mandatory.

The most desired items include: Peanut butter, macaroni & cheese, cereal, canned tuna & chicken, pancake mix, canned fruits & veggies, rice, pork & beans, pasta & sauce, and boxed meals.
