At Fall Fest, expect to experience a welcoming environment, powerful worship music, and a message from Pastor Craig Groeschel.

Before and after each service there will be free hayrack rides, s’mores, kettle corn, and apple cider! In addition, there will be food trucks, prizes for kids in LifeKids, and bouncy houses!

You wake to the sound of roosters, pull on your boots, and head into town for a day filled with harvest fun, games, and community. That’s the spirit behind Fall for Papillion — a lively, family-friendly event that blends history, hands-on activities, and old-fashioned fun in the heart of downtown Papillion.

​Hosted by the Papillion Area Historical Society and Papillion Public Library, this free celebration brings the past to life with interactive exhibits, prairie life demos, and good old-fashioned field games for all ages.

Fall for Papillion is more than just a fall festival — it’s a chance to make memories while learning about the history of Papillion, experiencing life as it once was, and celebrating the heart of our community.

Fall Fest Pop Up Pumpkin Patch

Celebrate the start of Fall with an afternoon of pumpkins, cold beer, live music and family friendly fun at our annual Fall Fest!

Saturday, September 12th | 12-4pm | Brewery Taproom

We’ve teamed up with the Kumpf Family Farm to bring a real pumpkin patch right to the brewery. Browse pumpkins of every shape and size, along with fall decor including corn stalks, hay bales and milo to get your home ready for autumn.

While the adults relax with a beer in our beer garden, the kids can enjoy an afternoon packed with activities!

For the kiddos:

Inaugural Heartland Plein Air Festival

“Plein air” is a French term meaning “open air.” Unlike studio painting, plein air artists create their work outdoors, capturing the light, atmosphere, architecture, and natural beauty of a place in real time. This immersive approach results in vibrant, one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect the true spirit of a community.

Throughout the week, approximately 25 nationally recognized artists will paint at more than 20 scenic locations across Douglas County and Sarpy County. These will include historic neighborhoods, tourist attractions, scenic vistas, and more. Visitors are encouraged to explore these sites, observe the artists at work, and experience the creative process up close.

The festival culminates in a public exhibition and auction, where attendees can view the complete collection and purchase original works that showcase the beauty and character of the greater metro area. Each painting is created on-site during the festival, making every piece a unique and lasting tribute to the region.

Oktoberfest

Join us for a traditional Oktoberfest celebration with a modern-day twist in City Centre! Main Street will be closed to make way for music, Oktoberfest-themed games and activities, food trucks, and of course a beer garden.

Live music will be provided by local bands:

  • Kenny Janak Orchestra (performs 2-4 p.m.)
  • Evans & Moore (performs 4:30-6:30 p.m.)
  • Charm School Dropouts (performs 7:30-9:30 p.m.)

Food and beverage available for purchase. Families and all ages are welcome. Must be 21 or older to consume alcohol.

Confirmed food trucks include:

  • Golden Badger Bakery (European/comfort food)
  • Gracie’s Sodas & Sips
  • Johnny Ricco’s Brooklyn Pizza

Festival themed fun includes:

  • Husker Football Watch Party at 4 p.m.
  • Husker Volleyball Watch Party at 8 p.m.
  • Best Dressed and Beer Stein Holding contests (starting at 6:45 p.m.)
    • Beer stein contest will follow immediately after the best dressed contest 
    • Best Dressed divisions: men, women, youth, Huskers
    • Stein contest divisions: men, women, youth
  • Cornhole
  • Free face painting (3-7 p.m.)

Bennington Founder’s Day – CANCELLED

There will be events all day long in Centennial Park, Downtown Bennington. Events will be from 9am – 7pm, more details to come soon!
