FAQ’s FOR FIELDS OF FLIGHT EVENT

• PARKING:

$40 per car for Parking – INCLUDES Admission -only ONE ticket needed per VEHICLE!!

REPEAT ONLY ONE TICKET IS NEEDED PER VEHICLE!

Payment Options for parking:

Prepaid parking ticket from our website – limited amounts are available- all walk-ins will be turned away. Carpooling is suggested and arrive early!

We do have a shuttle/tram rides to and from parking areas.

NON-REFUNDABLE if event is cancelled due to weather. – This is a benefit for the American Cancer Society- Relay for Life PAYMENTS ACCEPTED:

The orchard accepts Visa/Master Card for purchases over $5.00.

NO ATM ON SITE!

No ATMS are available- CASH IS RECOMMENDED and electronic payments maybe spotty.

REPEAT NO ATM ON SITE Cards maybe used for purchase over $5- Cash is recommended and quicker.

Acceptable forms of payments at private vendor booths may vary.

• BALLOON RIDES:

There will NOT be private rides available during this event.

We will NOT have Tethered rides.

This is a spectator event ONLY- NO RIDES WILL BE GIVEN

• WEATHER:

This is a weather-related event and weather permitting the balloons will fly. The decision is up to each pilot. We will not know until about an HOUR before launch time. Balloons will only fly if conditions are favorable.

• WHAT IS A BALLOON GLOW?:

Weather permitting, at dusk and while the balloons are on the ground the pilot(s) will ignite the propane burners periodically to light up the balloon. It’s breathtaking to see! You’ll want your camera out! Please refer to the photo in the event!

•FOOD & DRINKS:

No outside Food or Drinks/Coolers permitted.

Food from our Orchard Cafe and many other food options are available from vendors that are onsite to serve you. Don’t forget about those APPLE CIDER DOUGHNUTS!

We will have Wine/Beer/Hard Cider/Water/Pop and Apple Cider available for purchase.

• PETS:

We love pets but cannot have them at the orchard.

• RESTROOMS:

Due to the large number in attendance there will be porta potties available. Inside restrooms will be closed.

• MAY WE BRING OUR OWN CHAIRS/BLANKET:

Yes, it is highly recommended that you bring a chair/blanket – oh and some bug spray might be good too!

• ORCHARD ACTIVITIES:

All regular orchard activities will stop at 3:00 pm to insure we have the tractors available for tram rides to and from the orchard for parking. This includes U-Pick apple picking. We will have apples available for purchase inside.

The playground will be available for kids to play on during the event. ​

5th Annual Little Bo Backyard Bash

September 2, 2025

Join for the 5th annual Little Bo Backyard Bash in the Dundee Bank parking lot.
 
This year includes live music, art, activities, food trucks, beer, cocktails and much more! All proceeds go to the Little Bohemia Business Association.
 
Live music: Wedding, Nathan Ma Band, Parfait and Left Handed Country.
 
Skatefest Omaha, Film Streams, Local Art Plug, Bemis Center, BFF and many more will be set up. Food trucks, include La Sierra Mexican Hotdogs, Twin Happiness, Island Chill 402, Abra Kebabra and Best Burger. Beer & cocktail sponsors are Lumen Beer Co., Big Grove Brewery and Fizzy’s Fountain & Liquors.

The RiverFront One Community Cultural Festival : Community Culture Fest with NCA

Join the Nebraska Chinese Association and The RiverFront for an evening of cultural performances, regional vendors, family activities, and a great selection of food!  Performances will encapsulate various cultures, with live music and dancing from 6 to 9 PM.  The One Community Festival will be held at the Performance Pavilion and Downtown Green event lawn at Gene Leahy Mall.

Held outdoors at the La Vista Community Center, this fun-filled event is perfect for families and kids of all ages.

Oktoberfest La Vista

City Centre

Join for a traditional Oktoberfest celebration with a modern-day twist in City Centre! Main Street will be closed to make way for music, Oktoberfest-themed games and activities, a Husker Volleyball watch party (game time 3 p.m.), hearty food, and of course a beer garden.

Live music will be provided by local bands Evans & Moore, Kenny Janak Orchestra and Heartland Boogie Band.

Food and beverage available for purchase.

Families and all ages are welcome. Must be 21 or older to consume alcohol.

Festival themed fun includes:

  • Brat eating contest at 2:30 p.m. (men’s, women’s divisions)
