Halloween Boo Bash at Village Pointe
Get ready for a spooktacular time at Village Pointe’s Halloween Boo Bash on Saturday, October 10, from 1–3 pm!
Presented by Woodhouse, this family fun event will be packed with activities for all ages.
Enjoy trick-or-treating, special characters, balloon twisting, OPD SWAT and Cruiser Vehicles and more all along Davenport Street!
Don’t miss the Magic Shows in the Amphitheater, sponsored by Children’s Nebraska. Whether you head to the magic show first and then trick-or-treat—or flip it—you won’t want to miss either!
Event Schedule:
- 1–3 pm: Trick-or-Treating along Davenport Street with special characters and store participants (listed below)
- Note: Lines will cut off at 2:50pm to accommodate as many kiddos & families as possible by 3pm. We ask for your patience as these characters are very popular!

Design It / Make It – Ghost Train
All aboard the spooky express! In this hands-on class, you’ll design and decorate your very own ghostly train just in time for the Halloween season. Using creative materials and guided instruction, you’ll bring your haunting locomotive to life while exploring design, construction, and a little bit of Halloween magic.
Design It / Make It – Duckie Waterpark
Make a splash with science and creativity! In this hands-on class, you’ll design playful water features and artistic displays using 3D-printed ducks. Experiment with water flow, movement, and design to create your own mini “duckie waterpark” while exploring the principles of art, engineering, and fluid dynamics.
Take & Make: Compass
Discover the science of magnetism and navigation with this hands-on compass kit! Kids can build their own working compass while learning STEM concepts in a fun and engaging way. The kit includes precut wooden parts, a magnet, and easy-to-follow instructions — perfect for curious young explorers and makers.
Toddler Tuesday: Awesome Autumn with Miss Tina
Let’s be honest. We all know fall is the best season. So, let’s celebrate it! Miss Tina will read autumnal stories, she’ll guide kids through some festive yoga poses, then everyone will get to enjoy a cute craft activity. It’ll be as fun as a giant pile of leaves!
Falloween
La Vista Police and City staff are joining together to host Falloween at a NEW location this year. Make plans to “Back the Boo” during the City’s safe and festive Halloween celebration hosted at the La Vista Police Department.
Families will be treated to the traditional Back the Boo Trunk-or-Treat experience as La Vista Police hand out candy from decorated cruisers. Come ready for a fun and interactive Halloween adventure.
You’ll also find a variety of fall activities (like pumpkin bowling and candy corn ring toss), inflatables and yard games. Be sure to stop by the photo backdrop to capture memories from the evening.
Your crew is invited to fuel up on a walking taco dinner, and then warm up with hot chocolate and s’mores—all for FREE. Whether you’re dressed in your costume or celebrating fall with family and friends, Falloween is the perfect way to kickoff your Halloween festivities.
Back the Boo Police Department Trunk-or-Treat

Get your Halloween costume ready and make plans to fill up your candy bag during a trunk-or-treat event at the Police Department on Monday, October 27, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Come enjoy:
- Trick-or-treating from the back of cruisers/motorcycles
- Photo ops with officers
- Free hotdogs
- Plenty of Halloween safety tips
It will be an un-boo-lievably good time!
Fire Station 4 Open House

The Papillion Fire Department, which services La Vista, will host an open house at Station 4 in La Vista to celebrate Fire Prevention Week.
This fun, family-friendly event offers a chance to tour the station, chat with local firefighters, climb inside vehicles and enjoy some light refreshments.

Want to know more about what La Vista’s Public Works employees really do? Drop by Public Works Expo Day. This is your chance to go behind the scenes, meet the people providing essential services and see first-hand how Public Works helps keep our community running.
Visitors can climb aboard and operate equipment, watch exciting live demonstrations, talk with Public Works staff and ask questions.
Enjoy free hot dogs and chips while supplies last.
All ages are welcome at this family-friendly event.
