Homestead Days® in Beatrice, NE is a community-wide celebration of our homesteading heritage put together by the Beatrice Area Chamber of Commerce and a group of wonderful volunteers and community partners! Check out this year’s schedule of events.
Kinderfest 2026
For a day of good old-fashioned, affordable FUN, bring the kids to Manning on June 20th for Kinderfest!
This annual event begins with a 5k road race starting in the City Park at 8 am, register in advance to receive a t-shirt or on race day starting at 7 am. The Kinderfest parade down Main Street begins at 11 am. Entries are welcome by contacting parade chairperson at [email protected]. Following the parade, the city park overflows with good old-fashioned fun! A petting zoo and blowups will await the kids. Game booths of all kinds will offer prizes: ring toss, duck races, basketball, cornhole, paddle wheel and more. Where Everyone is a Winner! Lots of food choices including: pulled pork, brisket, brats, burgers, walking tacos and home-made pie!

The John C. Fremont Days festival is an award winning three day celebration of Fremont, held the second full weekend of July each year. This family oriented citywide festival began in 1987 and has events throughout the City of Fremont with something for everyone!
