4th of July Beach Party

Celebrate the 250th Independence Day at Heartwood Beach Club, our biggest summer bash. The park transforms into a beach-themed playground featuring giant sand sculptures, sand sculpting lessons, giant water slides in the Amphitheater, games and festive food. Make your mark on our community mural and enjoy a rocking concert at sunset before settling in for one of the best spots to watch nearby fireworks. Bring your friends, wear your red, white and blue, and celebrate summer in true Heartwood style.

Boys Town Fireworks

🎆 Celebrate the 4th of July with Boys Town!
Join Friday, July 4 at 10 p.m. for their Annual Fireworks Show, a beloved tradition open to the public! Invite your family and friends for a night under the stars.
📍 Location: Boys Town Campus
📅 Rain date: Saturday, July 5 at 10 p.m.
Please note:
🏈 The Football Field is reserved for Boys Town Youth only.
🚗 Parking is available, but limited in some areas. Arrive early to secure a spot!
🚫 No alcohol or personal fireworks allowed on campus.

Celebrate the 4th of July at the pool! Admission to all City of Omaha outdoor pools will only be $1 on the 4th of July. 

All pools will close at 5:00pm. (Hanscom will close at normal time, 3pm).

The RiverFront Fourth of July Celebration featuring The Omaha Symphony

All are welcome to The RiverFront Fourth of July Celebration featuring the Omaha Symphony! This fun, festive and family-friendly evening in downtown Omaha returns to the Gene Leahy Mall.

This concert will feature the Omaha Symphony, along with other performers to be announced. The evening will culminate with The RiverFront’s spectacular fireworks presentation synchronized with live music. Come early to secure your spot on the lawn beginning at 3 PM.

Celebrate at The Platform: Independence Day

Join at The Platform, the museum’s interactive play space, and celebrate the holidays with us! Each date will have a special craft or activity and feature related photos from our Photo Archive for a bit of a history lesson while you celebrate.

On Saturday, July 5, celebrate our nation’s independence and the traditions behind the July 4th holiday.

4th of July Living History Celebration at Fort Atkinson

Travel 200 years back in time for Independence Day weekend at Fort Atkinson State Historical Park! Visitors will be able to glimpse the holiday activities that would have taken place at this 1820s era outpost.

Ongoing demonstrations featuring military and civilian life of the 1820s will occur throughout the park. Reenactors portray fur traders, coopers, blacksmiths, carpenters, tinsmiths, weavers and other period trades. Visitors are encouraged to interact with the reenactors.

Visitor Center Admission
  • -Adults (13 & up): $5
  • -Children 3-12: $1
  • -2 and under: Free

A valid Nebraska Park Entry Permit is required for all vehicles to enter the park and can be purchased at the site.
