World O! Water Festival

World O! Water is a FREE, family festival on Saturday September 6th from 12-4pm at Chalco Hills. The educational event helps all ages learn about water conservation and the important role water plays in our lives. Join in the fun for hands-on science and water activities, games, crafts, and wildlife demonstrations! There will also be face painting, and a free hot dog lunch while supplies last. World O! Water is great for families, youth groups, and scout troops. Find event details at WorldOWater.org.

Smile Fest 2025

Smile Fest 2025, Share My Smile’s biggest COMMUNITY event of the year! With over 20 vendors, face painting, bounce houses, and more, Smile Fest creates a fun day for families and the community to connect and create lasting memories.  Smile Fest supports our mission by bringing families together in a joyful space that encourages genuine smiles, strong bonds, and lasting support for children in foster care.

​All proceeds from Smile Fest 2025 support Share My Smile whose mission is to provide family strengthening events and care programs for foster families to encourage true, honest, and happy smiles in children.  Since 2010, Share My Smile has been a lifeline for over 500 foster and adoptive children and families across Iowa and Nebraska. We work closely with community partners to nurture and support these families. Although we receive no government funding, the generosity of donors, sponsors, and fundraisers fuels our mission to bring hope and joy—ensuring every child feels loved and valued.

Community Fall Fair

Our 5th annual Community Fall Fair is a free, family-friendly community event designed to bring people together in a fun, welcoming environment. This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, August 30th from 12pm-2pm and features music, games, free food, and activities for all ages—creating space for community engagement and resource awareness. 
This free event is open to families across Omaha and surrounding areas, featuring:
✅ Fun family activities – carnival games, bounce house, vendors, and both free lunch with other snacks available for purchase
✅ Community engagement – visits from the Omaha Police & Fire Departments (including a fire engine for kids!)
✅ Free services & resources – connecting families with organizations and resources in Omaha, free hair cuts, free pediatric dental check ups, diaper station, medical check up station, and more
✅ Give-A-Way and Prize drawings – kids bikes, prize packages and more

Plattsmouth Harvest Festival 2025

May 27, 2025

Now in its 94th year, the Plattsmouth Harvest Festival is the oldest, continuous harvest festival in Nebraska.  Fun for the whole family, the 3-day event begins with the Coronation of the new King and Queen on Thursday evening. Friday includes carnival rides, Kiddie Parade, Sweetheart Awards, Pep Rally, Car Bash, Balloon Toss, and Bingo. Saturday includes Egg Toss, Chicken Chariot Race, Music & Entertainment, Cake Walk, Cow Drop contest, and the Grand Parade. Lots more to see and do the first weekend after Labor Day in September on and around Plattsmouth’s Historic Main Street. Come join the fun.

54th Annual Arrows to Aerospace

May 27, 2025

The year 2025 marks the 37th year that the Bellevue-Offutt Kiwanis Club will be the proud sponsor of Arrows to Aerospace, Bellevue’s premier community celebration. It will kick off with a presentation at the Bellevue Public Library on Thursday, August 14. On Friday, August 15, we will provide a free meal at the Senior Center.

 
Besides featuring a parade on Saturday, August 16, Washington Park will be the site of a pancake feed, free petting zoo, bounce houses, music, and a variety of both non-profit and retail vendors.
 
The parade begins at Mission Ave. and Bert Murphy, continues east on Mission, then north on Franklin, ending at Washington Park.
