We loved our visit last year, especially the scenic Hayride to the pumpkin patch, Farm Animals, Play Areas, Wheelbarrow Maze, Corn Pit, and Rubber Duck Races. The Family-Sized Tire Swing was my favorite!
I was impressed with how clean and well-kept it is. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in the Schoolhouse Café, an historic one-room schoolhouse. They also have a Pumpkin Barn and Gift Shop, and a nice room above the barn for Birthday Parties, Field Trips, and Group Outings.
Bloom Where You’re Planted Farm and Pumpkin Patch is open Fridays (1-6 p.m.) and Saturday / Sunday (10 a.m.- 6 p.m.) from September 21 – October 31, 2013. Admission is only $5.00/person (includes tax), and ages 2 & under are free.
It is located at 911-108th Street, Avoca, Nebraska 68307 (35 miles south of Omaha, Directions).
