We recently had the opportunity to attend Disney Junior Live On Tour! Pirate & Princess Adventure at Mid America Center in Council Bluffs. If you have a Jake fan, Sophia fan, or both, your child is not going to want to miss this show!
Disney Junior Live Pirate & Princess Adventure
Doc McStuffins special pre-show happens 10 minutes before show time (so make sure you get to the venue early).
In the first part of the show, Sofia and her family prepare for a royal celebration that helps us all learn the true meaning of being a princess! Sofia has to introduce the friendship festival and figure out what gifts to give her friends. My daughter loved the book balancing scene at the Royal Academy!
There is a special appearance by Cinderella, where she inspires the little princesses that what matters most is what is on the inside. We laughed when Sofia was attempting to make a cake and made way too many, causing a huge mess. Towards the end of the act, bubbles blew into the audience below us. Sofia was able to bring a smile upon all of the princesses in the audience, as she shared that no matter what gifts you give, they should come from the heart.
Mickey and Minnie led us to a brief intermission before the second part of the performance started. Jake, Izzy, and Cubby battle Captain Hook to unlock treasure hidden inside a mysterious volcano. Everyone enjoyed the exciting and adventure-filled scenes as Jake and his friends discover what it takes to be a true hero. A special appearance by Peter Pan flew on to stage to help Jake who was trapped by Captain Hook. My children loved watching the pirates fly through the air. In the end Jake is able to save Captain Hook.
The kids were completely engaged in the entire show! The whole performance is about 90 minutes long which is perfect for the ages in the audience.
