Discover the craftsmanship behind exquisite gowns, majestic capes, mesmerizing uniforms and other props from live-action films.

Step into a prehistoric adventure at Lauritzen Gardens with Dinosaurs Around the World: Passport to Pangea, on view May 30 through September 7, 2026. Produced by Imagine, this immersive traveling exhibition transforms the garden into a journey across ancient Earth, where life-sized animatronic dinosaurs roar, move, and captivate visitors of all ages.
Grab your prehistoric passport and explore Pangea as you encounter incredible species from around the globe—from the mighty T. rex of North America to the powerful Spinosaurus of Africa and the duck-billed Hadrosaur of Antarctica. With more than a dozen dinosaurs to discover, each stop reveals how these fascinating creatures lived, moved, and adapted to their environments.
Blending education with adventure, the exhibition dives into the geologic time scale, shifting continents, and ancient climates, offering hands-on, interactive experiences that spark curiosity across generations. This free summer concert series is presented In partnership with Nelson Mandela Elementary School, Minne Lusa and Miller Park Neighborhood Associations, and other community partners.
- All concerts are free and open to the public, no ticket required.
- Attendees are welcome to bring blankets, chairs, sunscreen, bug spray, food, drinks (including beer and wine), and leashed pets!

Labor Day Weekend at Indian Cave State Park
Join at Indian Cave State Park to celebrate Labor Day Weekend on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025!
Events will take place outside of the museum.
Activity schedule:
5 – 7 p.m.: Hayrack rides, cake walk (50 cents to play), and yard games
6 – 7:30 p.m.: Fish fry – $12 for adults, $6 for kids ages 4-12 yrs, 3 & under free
9 p.m.: Fireworks display by the Pioneer Longrifle Club
A valid state park vehicle permit is required for entry.
Omaha Labor Day Parade
Please join Monday September 1st, 2025, for Omaha’s 141st Labor Day Parade, brought to you by The Nebraska Center, Omaha Federation of Labor, and Nebraska & SW Iowa Building and Construction Trades Council.
The Route will start on 16th and Cass, and head south to Capitol, then head east to 12th, then head back north to Mike Fahey, and then head to the west and end at 13th.
