First Night Council Bluffs

First Night Council Bluffs is a unique experience, with local artists, performers and vendors. Additionally, First Night has interactive crafts, games, and performances just for kids!

  • Date and Time: December 31, 4:30-10 p.m. at several downtown locations and the Mid America Center. Children’s activities will take place at the Mid America Center from 4:30-8 p.m.
  • Cost:  Buttons are $10.00 for adults. Kids 12 & Under are free.


Hy-Vee Linden Market (132nd & Dodge) Kids Noon Year’s Eve Party

Join us for pizza, cookie decorating, a balloon drop and other arts and crafts. Ages 4-10. Call customer service at (402) 493-2911 to sign up.

  • Date and Time: December 31, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Cost: $10/child.


New Year’s Bouncing Eve at BounceU

New Year’s Eve at the Amazing Pizza Machine

Specials and prize drawings all day long.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks Spectacular

Enjoy the downtown Holiday Lights and watch the fireworks at the Gene Leahy Mall, 14th and Farnam. Elderly persons and citizens with disabilities are welcome to view the fireworks from the fourth floor of the W. Dale Clark Library.  Spectators are encouraged to arrive early, bring radios, and tune in to Star 104.5 to listen to the musical score developed specifically for this event.

New Year’s Eve Party at B & B Classic Dogs

Food specials, Drink specials, noise makers, Wienerville Arcade, and fun! We will have a count down at 9, 10 & 11 just in case people need to get to bed before the 2014 really gets here!

  • Date and Time: December 31, 7 p.m.


Noon Year’s Eve at the Durham Museum

Children of all ages will enjoy this fun-packed party with live music, special crafts, and activities. The day ends with a celebratory bubble wrap stomp and ball drop at noon.

  • Date and Time: Tuesday, December 31, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Cost: Included with regular admission or membership.


Noon Year’s Eve at the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium

Have a wild time with entertainment from Joe Cole’s Magic Show, fun activities and an early countdown to 2014 complete with a beach ball drop at noon.

  • Date and Time: Tuesday, December 31, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Cost: Included with regular admission or membership.


Noon Year’s Eve Party at W. Dale Clark Main Library

Bring the family and come celebrate the coming of 2014. Have a glitzy and glittery time with sparkly art projects and all kinds of fun that families and youth can enjoy including a celebratory bubble wrap stomp!

  • Cost: Free


Omaha Children’s Museum First Night of Play

Enjoy the First Night of Play with a pizza dinner, goodie bag from Oriental Trading Company, face painters, balloon artists, dance party, concert, and bubble wrap stomp.  Fun for the whole family!


Sempeck’s New Year’s Eve Daytime Specials

  • Date and Time: Specials available December 31st, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Cost: 2 options available ranging from $14.95 – $24.95.



  • Tuesday, Dec. 31st. Family NYE Party from 1 – 4 p.m. All ages welcome. Games, prizes, balloon drop and more. Admission $8 (skate rental $3.75).
  • Tuesday, Dec. 31st. NYE Party from 7 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.  All ages welcome. $250 in cash and prizes, balloon drop, and more. Admission $12 (skate rental $3.75).
