UNMC & Nebraska Medicine Present: MLK Day 2023 – Jan. 16 (12 – 1 pm) (REGISTRATION REQUIRED)
- Join the Nebraska Medicine Inclusion and Diversity Office and the UNMC Office of Inclusion for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Program on Monday, Jan. 16, at noon. This year’s Power of Prevention program will honor Dr. King’s legacy and dream of equality and equity for all.The keynote speaker will be Kenny McMorris, a veteran health care executive, innovator, influencer and strategist who has served since 2014 as chief executive officer of Charles Drew Health Center.
- Location: This year’s program will be held both in person at the UNMC Sorrell Center, Room 4053, and virtually.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day at the Omaha Children’s Museum – Jan. 16 (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.), Included with Regular Admission
- The museum will be open on this special Monday! Attend the Color and Light Science Show, make friendship bracelets and listen to a reading of “The Skin You Live In.”
