Night Light | The Unknown: Edge of Reality (21+)

This October, Night Light (21+) takes you through the veil, beyond the known, and into the realms of mystery. In the season that blurs the boundaries between the living and the dead, we’re exploring underworlds, outerworlds, and the limits of human knowledge. Come in costume and be prepared for a mind-expanding evening! 

We’re embracing scientific and intuitive ways of knowing, celebrating the pursuit of understanding in all its forms. What insights does a death doula gain from witnessing life’s final moments? Is it possible to gather scientific evidence of ghosts? Are we alone in the universe?   

Join us for an eerie evening as we test the limits of the known, dance with the darkness, and explore the many mysteries that keep us up at night.  

Costume Night at Cochran Park

Put on your costumes and join for the fourth annual Costume Night at Cochran Park (100 S 21st Street) on Friday, October 9, from 6-8 p.m.

Parking is limited, so walking or biking is encouraged! On-street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Halloween Trick or Treat Day at OCM

Bring your little ones for a day (or two!) of all-day trick-or-treating and activities around the museum. It’s the perfect chance for young learners to experience trick-or-treating all their own, so grab your costumes and explore the Museum in a whole new way.

Pumpkin Smash 2025

For one weekend only, they’re turning the orchard into a smash zone built for laughter, catharsis, and vibrant orange splatter. Bring your friends, bring your family, bring that coworker who needs to scream into the autumn wind. There’s real science behind this kind of fun: physical play boosts feel-good brain chemicals, silly communal joy strengthens social bonds, and giving a pumpkin the ol’ Hulk treatment is a wildly healthy way to let go of stress.

For just $10/person you get access to the smash zone, a pumpkin to pulverize, and a moment of pure, unapologetic release. Chuck it, whack it, drop it — transform frustration into confetti (pumpkin-style).

Pumpkin Smash 2025 is your invitation to lighten the load, laugh aloud, and make memories that feel a little mischievous and a lot therapeutic. Sometimes the best way to appreciate fall… is to let a pumpkin fly.

👧 Family Witch Time | 1:00 – 4:30 PM
Bring your little witchlings and warlocks for an afternoon of magical fun! Expect spellbinding games, whimsical crafts, Kids Costume Parade at 2:00 PM on 61st (a family highlight not the main event by Edge of the Universe Cafe currently in Halloween Theme), and sweet treats for the whole coven. Perfect for witches and wizards of all ages!🌙 Advanced Witchcraft | 4:30 PM – Midnight
As twilight falls, the enchantment deepens. Stroll through Benson’s moonlit streets in your witchiest wear and enjoy exclusive deals, discounts, and delights from our participating businesses, plus more than 20 street vendors offering potions, pastries, crystals, art, and other mystical treasures. 🖤🧙‍♀️🪄 Whether you come cloaked in your finest robes or something wickedly creative, the Benson Witch Walk is where the magic happens.✨ And remember: this isn’t a parade, it’s a celebration of what it means to be a modern witch! So grab your brooms, gather your coven, and bring the power of the witch to the heart of Benson!

Falconwood Fright Nights: TRUNK or TREAT Hocus Pocus & The Addams Family

Join for Trunk or Treat, our annual Halloween movie night party at Falconwood Park -Thursday, October 30th!

Come dressed up to trick or treat the parked cars and Falconwood Lodge. Decorate your car to pass out candy to both kids and adults!

Please BYO CANDY to hand out. (Please refrain from passing out candy with allergens like peanuts)

They’ll also have a decorated spooky car contest and a variety favorite costume contest! AND they’ll have a number of activities and games to take part in before our Double Feature!

Trunk or Treat takes place at 6:30 p.m. before the first film, The Addams Family.
