Night Light (21+): PLAY

This March . . . forget your phone. Delete your feed. Leave your boss on read. Swipe left on living in algorithm-approved realities and feeling alienated from the world around you. Do it with your friends. Do it with strangers. Feel good for the sake of feeling good. Get weird, get silly, get playful. Join us for Night Light on March 20th and explore the science of PLAY! 

During this adults-only (21+) evening of discovery we’ll examine: the beneficial effects of play on the brain, the connection between play and learning, traditional indigenous games, and much more!   

A Galactic Night Out: May the Pours Be With You (21+)

Step into the museum after hours for an evening where the hangar transforms into a lively galactic cantina. On May 2 from 7:00 to 11:00 PM, adults ages 21 and over are invited to celebrate the closing stretch of our Unofficial Galaxies exhibit with a night filled with music, competition, and just the right amount of friendly chaos from across the galaxy.

Throughout the night, guests can test their skills, show off their creativity, and enjoy a relaxed evening surrounded by legendary aircraft and unforgettable sci-fi inspiration. Grab a drink, explore the museum after dark, and jump into activities happening throughout the hangar as the force of fun takes over the building.

What to Expect

  • Costume Contest with prizes for best individual and best group

  • Lightsaber Duel demonstrations and challenges

  • Trivia Competition for the ultimate galactic knowledge champion

  • Hangar activities including lightsaber building, a Force Drone challenge, and a Trench Run competition

  • Movie showings and simulator experiences available throughout the night (sim/VR tickets not included)

  • Food trucks and beer vendors on site so you can fuel up between adventures

  • A raffle ticket and themed snack pack included with admission

Whether you arrive in full costume or just come ready for a fun night out, this is your chance to experience the museum in a way you never have before. Gather your crew, claim your tickets, and join us for an evening where the galaxy feels a little closer than usual.

Shark Tunnel of Love (21+)

Dive into love with an adults-only Valentine’s experience at the Zoo designed for meaningful connection. Whether you’re celebrating as a couple or gathering friends for a night out, guests ages 21+ are invited to explore select areas of the Zoo. Enjoy a beautiful evening filled with shared moments, immersive experiences, and unforgettable surprises. Select the experience that matches your evening, from General Admission to early-access VIP and private igloo options.

Tea 101 with the Tea Smith

Tea 101 is an interactive session led by staff from The Tea Smith. It is ideal for people who are new to tea or want to learn more about the history, legend, tastes and benefits of the world’s most popular prepared beverage. Limited samples of tea will be provided.

This is a free event for Adults 19+. Registration is required.

Cut & Create: Vision & Mood Boards

Set your intentions and bring your goals to life through the power of vision and mood boarding! In this creative workshop, you’ll use magazines, images, words, and craft supplies to design a personalized vision or mood board that reflects your dreams, goals, and inspirations for the future.

No artistic experience needed—just bring your ideas and an open mind. All materials provided, but feel free to bring any personal images or quotes you’d like to include.
