Winter fun at Hummel Day Camp! Learn archery, wilderness skills, hiking , crafts, cook lunch over the fire, and other fun winter games!

The Durham Museum Winter Camps

Mind Craft: A Minecraft Camp
Join us for one, two or three days of Minecraft Mania! These days will be filled with tours of our building including Minecraft connections to architecture, mining and goldrush, and pioneer travel. We will build winter villages out of LEGO bricks, design our own Minecraft stickers and create bricks out of clay. Campers will also get the opportunity to learn about the tradition of the Union Station Christmas tree, as well as the history of other holidays around the world.

All Aboard the Polar Durham Express
Trains and cozy winter traditions? Count us in! These three days will include tours of our steam engine, caboose, Pullman car, lounge car and model trains. Durham educators will guide campers through fun activities including a snowy forest diorama, a pinecone snowman, a hot chocolate mug and much more! Campers will also learn about the tradition of the Union Station Christmas tree, and the history of other holidays around the world. A chance to cozy up and play historic games in our replica log cabin while it is decorated for the holidays will round out these fun-filled days.
