Writers Workshop: Love Poetry

Workshop your writing projects with other local writers and discover how to write about all the ways love shows up in our lives!

About the Teaching Artist
 Alexandra Zaleski is a poet committed to living and dying in the midwest. When they aren’t writing they can be found playing Joni Mitchel songs on the guitar and reading tacky romance novels She remains constantly inspired by the place she calls home: Nebraska. They are privileged to be a Teaching Artist with Nebraska Writers Collective and they have one previously published poem in The Fig Tree Magazine.

This is a free workshop for adults 19+.

Designer’s Den: LED Card Making

Designer’s Den is a 60-minute, hands-on program designed for patrons of all ages to experiment, be creative, and express themselves using a blend of traditional crafting tools and creative technology. Each session offers a guided activity that encourages imagination, open-ended exploration, and collaborative learning.

For the month of February, highLIGHT your appreciation for those around you by making a fun, light-up card! This all-ages activity invites participants to get creative and make a glowing card to take home and give to someone special.

Toddler Tuesday: Hearts and Hugs Valentine’s Day Yoga

Come and stretch your muscles AND your heart! Miss Tina will read stories all about love and sharing your feelings before leading kids in a special Valentine’s Day guided yoga. Then, they’ll get to make something cute to share with the people they love! Everyone will go home feeling refreshed and joyful.

Put on your coziest pajamas and stop by for a perfect start to your weekend! There will be delicious pancakes to fill your tummy, charming stories to warm your heart, and adorable Valentines to make and share with the people you love. A wonderful way to warm up in the middle of winter!

Valentine’s Cookie Decorating Workshop

Get ready for a sweet experience! In this hands-on workshop with Stephanie Wolcott, you’ll learn the basics of decorating beautiful, garden-themed sugar cookies—plus tips and techniques to give your creations a polished, professional look. Cookie decorating kits will include everything you need to decorate the cookies in class to take home and enjoy. Appropriate for ages 16 and up. 

Valentine’s Parents Night Out

Enjoy a kid-free evening while your child enjoys a fun, safe night at Dream Spirit! Parents’ Night Out includes supervised open gym, a scavenger hunt, pizza & lemonade, a craft, organized games, movie time (G/PG), and a snack. Kids are engaged, cared for, and helped wind down as the night goes on. Waiver required. Secure sign-in/out provided. Spots are limited—advance registration required! All participants must be potty trained.
