The library is going digital! Grab a controller to head-to-head with your friends on our provided Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Switch, or PS4 consoles. Or bring your own console and games to use on our giant 86-inch flat screen!

Super Smash Bros Tournament

Join OPL for a Super Smash Bros tournament at the Washington Branch. We will be playing the game on the Nintendo Switch 2.

For our tournament, we’re using the following settings:

  • KO opponents to win
  • 3 lives
  • 5:00 time limit
  • No Final Smash Meter
  • No spirits
  • No damage handicap
  • ꭥ Stages only
  • No items
  • No CPUs
  • No teams

This is a free program for ages 13-18

Paper Jewelry

Get creative and eco-friendly! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to turn recycled paper into colorful, one-of-a-kind beads and transform them into stylish bracelets. All materials are provided, and no crafting experience is needed.

This is a free event for teens 13+.

Join for a relaxing and creative event with local artist Yulia Brynskikh! Follow along as Yulia guides you step-by-step in painting a beautiful image—no experience necessary. Enjoy a variety of snacks as you paint, chat and connect with fellow art lovers. All supplies provided. Space is limited, so be sure to register early!

Open Game Day (Teens)

Join teen services for an afternoon of open games. Play multi-player video games (i.e. Jackbox Party games, Mario Kart, Overcooked) with fellow peers or sit back, relax, and spectate. No registration or library card required.

New Year New Me

Join Gretna Public Library’s teen services as we reinvent ourselves for the New Year. Enjoy goal-setting, New Years crafts, snacks and music, and New Years Eve good vibes. No library card or registration required.
