St. Patrick’s Events in Omaha
Mar 16th – Shamrock Run – 9:00am – Registration Required
- 8th Annual Shamrock 5k Run /Walk in Aksarben Village. The Nebraska weather has always been crazy! March is going to be here soon and St. Patrick’s Day is great way to get outside and enjoy the weather. We are bringing you the Shamrock Run to start your day off running (I couldn’t resist the pun) and jump start your St. Patrick’s Day. Bring your green and orange and everything fun! This is a family friendly event for participants of all ages and skill levels. The course will be along the Keystone Trail next to the Little Papillion Creek, one of the flattest areas of Omaha. The post-race activities will take place at Backlot Taphouse with lots of giveaways.

Mar 16th – Omaha Blarney Stone 5K – 9:00am – Registration Required
- The Annual Blarney Stone 5K is back for 2024. We are introducing a new venue to the event. The Pint 9 & Kros Strain Breweries located in LaVista, NE. will be our hosts to this great event Our course will be the West Papio Trail directly behind the breweries.

Mar 16th – Shamrock & Rainbow Party – 10:00am – FREE
- It’s time for a party! Children are invited to dress up for this festive event. Activities will be ideal for children 0-8, but the whole family is invited to come! Parent participation will be required for some of the activities.

Mar 16th – Lucky Easter Egg Hunt – Saint Patrick’s Day Themed Hunt – 3:00pm – FREE
- Join them for a Saint Patrick’s Day themed Easter Egg Hunt! They will have plenty of eggs to keep the kids happy. They will also have “Lucky” eggs with prizes outside of candy in them! Come hop on over and join them!

- They will have a homemade treat for every pup wearing green, their Guinness Irish Stew on special, Irish drink specials, & a super fun photo booth!

A family friendly St. Patrick’s day event like no other! The Parthenon is bring back their popular full Irish Menu, enjoy Irish entertainment, shop with local vendors, grab an Irish beer at the bar, build your March Madness bracket and watch selection Sunday, let the kids participate in lucky rainbow fun! There’s something for everyone! Doors open at 3pm with vendors, bracket building and kid’s activities! Dinner begins at 4pm. Dinner Reservations are strongly recommended!

Mar 2nd – Leprechaun Chase 10K – 4:00pm – $63/pp [REGISTER]
- Leprechaun Chase 10K. Bring your skill (and a little luck) and run a PR while decked out in green from head to toe. Lasses start the race in the first wave and the lads chase them 5 ½ minutes later. Whoever finishes the race first wins the coveted Leprechaun Chase Green Jacket!
- Location: Starting at SAC Museum and running through Mahoney State Park
Mar 8th – St. Patrick’s Day Slime – 11:00am – FREE
- At the end of every rainbow is a pot o’ ooey gooey slime!! Join them for a super fun make your own St. Patrick’s Day Slime event!! This is a FREE, all ages event!!

Mar 9th – Shamrock Shuffle – 9:30am – Registration Required
- This festive race winds through historic downtown Council Bluffs, with the finish line located at the Historic 100 Block. We encourage St. Patrick’s Day attire to fit the shamrock themed run. Call your friends, bring your family and join them for the best event this side of the rainbow! 200 meter 10 and under leprechaun chase also.

Mar 9th – St Patrick’s Parade – 11:00am – FREE
- The Omaha Hell Hounds will be marching in the 144th Annual Omaha St Patrick’s Parade hosted by the Sarpy County chapter of the Ancient Order of Hibernians!
