Looking for a place to enjoy nature, hike trails, do crafts, enjoy games, and explore the beautiful outdoors? The Hummel Park Nature Center offers several fun family activities, many that are free or inexpensive!
Free Events
Hummel Frosty Fun Day – Saturday, January 12th, 10am-4pm
- Bring the family out for some winter fun! We’ll build Frosty’s Fort, make a craft, go on a Frosty adventure scavenger hunt, enjoy hot chocolate and a melting Frosty!
Hummel Groundhog Day – Saturday, February 2nd, 10:30am-12pm
- Six more weeks of winter or an early spring? Come to Hummel Park to find out! Go on a hike to fund Punxsutawney Phil’s home, make a craft, enjoy a snack, and many other family fun activities!
Fun Weekly Events for $2 or Less
Join us for class to learn about insects, trees, and animals while doing a craft, singing songs, and exploring outside! Geared toward 3-5 year olds, but all ages welcome!
- When: Wednesdays and Thursdays: 10-10:45am, January 2nd-May 9th
- Cost: $1.00 drop in per child (2 and older)
Be a part of the fun! Every Saturday staff will lead kids in a variety of adventures that include hiking, games, crafts, stories, and more! All ages welcome!
- When: Saturdays: 10:30am – 11:15am, January 5th-May 9th
- Cost: $1.00 drop in per child (2 and older)
Every Thursday afternoon, learn about nature while getting your hands dirty! Make a silly snack and get messy while exploring outside! All ages welcome!
- When: Thursdays: 1-2pm, beginning January 3rd
- Cost: $2 drop in per child
Camps
Explore nature and find out what animals are up to during the winter! Learn about arctic animals, enjoy a special snack, and an afternoon packed with fun!
- When: Saturdays: February 2nd-23rd, 1-3pm
- Cost: $20. Pre-registration required.
- Ages: 4-7
