Heroes & Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume
This summer, step into the magic of Disney and discover the iconic looks of some of your favorite Disney characters in an enchanting, up-close experience for all ages. Heroes & Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume is a showcase of nearly 70 mesmerizing ensembles spanning close to five decades of Disney film and television.
Cobweb Castle at The Children’s Museum
A Halloween tradition without the frights, Cobweb Castle returns this fall! Get ready for the not-so-scary side of Halloween! Explore the exhibit with a castle maze, discover black-light play, and wander through delightfully spooky (but never too scary) surprises around every corner.
Fall Arts and Crafts Show
The show is billed as one of Iowa's largest shows, with over 200 exhibitors presenting and selling thousands of unique, handmade products. Hours of the show are from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. on Saturday and 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. on Sunday. Admission is $6 and children 10 and younger are free. Parking is free throughout the show. All patrons who attend the show on Saturday will receive a two-day re-entry stamp.

Come check out the largest and longest-running anime convention in the Omaha / Council Bluffs metro area! Do you like anime? If not, how about gaming, comics, or pop culture? If you like one of these – or maybe you just like meeting new people, this event is for you! With over 100 activities in our three-day schedule. Highlights include an arcade, a huge vendors and artists area, costumes, an extensive board game room, Q & A with celebs from anime and games, karaoke, dances with live DJs, anime viewing rooms, and more!

Heartwood Fall Festival
Celebrate the best of autumn at Heartwood’s 2nd Annual Fall Festival. The park fills with festive activities including pumpkin decorating, giant pumpkin carving demonstration, a petting zoo, themed crafts, all the seasonal treats and a lively craft fair. Bring the whole family for some classic fall fun.

Film Streams on the Green: Death Becomes Her (1992)
Film Streams’ free outdoor movie series, Film Streams on the Green, is returning to North Downtown Omaha this summer and fall at Sonny's Builders District. On select Monday evenings July through October, moviegoers are invited to eat, drink and play movie trivia while enjoying a line-up of family favorites, cult classics and big-screen blockbusters. Each screening will begin at 7 pm.

Out & About Storytime: Lauritzen Gardens
In order for curious minds to bloom, it is essential to plant a love of reading at a young age. Join OPL at Lauritzen Gardens for stories that celebrate gardens, plants, insects and more, and discover the joys of nature, movement, music, and literature. Storytime is geared for preschoolers, but all ages are welcome. Lauritzen Gardens will offer free admission to families who attend this storytime.
Lunch & Learn – British Isles and Irish Sampler
Chris Sayre presents the Songs and Melodies of England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales performed on Button Accordion, English Concertina, fretted Dulcimer, Guitar, Mandolin, and Musical Saw. Travel across the Atlantic Ocean for a musical exploration of some of the early roots of our Folk and Country Music, including memorable ballads and humorous ditties. Lunch will be provided, so come hungry!
Halloween Hysteria in Fremont
Stroll downtown and trick-or-treat at participating businesses! Meet the police and fire departments, and walk through a spooky alley hosted by the Dodge County Sheriff's Office. Stop for dinner or drinks along the way!

31st Annual Haunted Hollow at Indian Cave State Park
10am-4pm: Jack-O-Lantern Junk & Craft Market. 2 p.m.: Pumpkin Roll for all ages; $3 per person. 6-8: Trick-or-Treating in RV Campground. 7 – 9 p.m.: Haunted Hayrack Rides – Adults: $10, kids ages 4-12 yrs: $7, ages 3 and under: free. Tickets go on sale on October 1 and may be purchased by phone or in person. Limited tickets and no refunds. 9 p.m.: Campsite Decorating Contest Judging
Heartwood Kite Festival
Look to the skies at Heartwood’s 2nd Annual Kite Festival. Giant show kites flown by professional kite artists will fill the air above the amphitheater in a breathtaking display of color and motion. Guests can learn kite-flying techniques, bring or purchase their own kites, or simply relax and watch the sky come alive. Festival foods and family activities make it a perfect day outdoors.

Bad Pitches – Music Improv – Mature Audiences
Join on the 3rd Saturday of each month as our quick-witted performers play a variety of improv games, each with a musical twist. They'll take your wildest suggestions and transform them into hilarious, one-of-a-kind songs right before your eyes. Whether it's a rap about a clumsy superhero or a love ballad for a talking dog, each moment is as unpredictable as it is uproarious.
