Let’s go fly a kite! Families are invited to join us for a free day of kite-flying fun. Come see some of the world’s largest and most creative kites take to the air and bring your own kite to fly. These massive kites will also take part in multiple candy drops throughout the day, so bring a bag with you to collect your candy! This is an all-ages activity and there is no registration required so bring the whole family and enjoy a unique spectacle!
Heartwood Fall Fest: Pumpkin Patch, Carving, and Concert
Celebrate the season at Heartwood Fall Fest! This two-day, family-friendly festival brings all the autumn fun in one place – and it’s completely free to attend. Enjoy a full lineup of seasonal activities, including: professional giant pumpkin-carving demonstrations, Petting Zoo, Pumpkin Carnival Games, mini golf, pumpkin decorating, fall photo ops, live music, and more!
Bellevue Animal Hospital Halloween Trunk or Treat
In addition to the trunks full of treats, they’ll have little pumpkins for your kids (or you) to paint; a rubber duck pond (pick a ducky and win a prize); and of course – a pet costume contest! Cats and dogs of all sizes are welcome to participate, and they look forward to seeing all of your adorable furbabies. They encourage pet parents (and human kids) to come in costume too, if you’d like to join the fun!

Raices de Mexico Showcase
Raices de México is a nonprofit organization from South Omaha founded in 2008. Its mission is to share Mexican culture through folkloric and indigenous dances. Join Raices de México at Gene Leahy Mall for an exhibition of some of these dances. A cultural exploration of Mexico in Omaha! States represented include Jalisco, Veracruz, Baja California, Sinaloa, Michoacan, and some indigenous representation of central Mexico with Azteca Conchera Tonantzin.

Annual Trunk or Treat is back on Thursday, October 16th from 4–8 PM at Quaker Steak & Lube! Bring the kids in costume for a safe and fun night of candy, decorated trunks, and Halloween vibes. Plus, it’s Classic Car Night—so shine up your ride and come show it off!
La Vista Howl-O-Ween
Dress your dog in a Halloween costume and register onsite at the event to take part in a costume competition. Snap a pic of your furry friend at our fall-themed backdrop. Make sure to stop by the City’s booth for a branded giveaway and treat for your dog. Treat yourself, too, with a free beverage from Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck.

Don’t miss this day of relaxation and fun with 100 acres of fall gardens, beautiful flowers, and colorful foliage. Experience the beauty of the NEW collections in the Marjorie K. Guests can also explore our current exhibit, La Calavera Catrina, with eight larger-than-life skeleton sculpture installations staged in the garden.
