A Halloween tradition without the frights, Cobweb Castle returns this fall! Clamber your way through the spooky maze, scale the castle wall, or don your sorcerer’s hat and makeup. Cops vs Cancer Fun Run
"Cops vs Cancer Fun Run" will bring together law enforcement and the community to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research and support programs as part of the Pink Patch Project. Participants can join in the run or walk, with registration fees, sponsorships, and donations going towards this vital cause. The involvement of law enforcement adds a special touch, demonstrating their commitment to supporting health initiatives in addition to their regular duties. Insect Adventure at Wildlife Safari Park

9th Annual Porchfest
The 9th Annual Porchfest OMA is Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 11am to 6pm. The free community festival has over 80 performances that take place on 14 stages including Omaha Mobile Stage at Yates Illuminates, the neighborhood market stage, seven more music porches, an open mic porch, a poetry porch, a comedy porch, an art porch, and official after party (6-10pm) in Omaha’s Gifford Park Neighborhood at 33rd & California Street.
MS Strong Community Race Event
The MAHA (Multiple Sclerosis at Home Access) Program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center will be hosting the 3rd Annual ‘MS Strong’ Community race event with proceeds being utilized to directly empower people living with MS and other demyelinating diseases with disability in our community. Race will include a fun run/walk/roll 5K and 10K run to ensure that regardless of ability people can participate. Event will include food trucks, DJ, and other family fun activities.

Zombie Walk
This years zombie walk is Saturday October 11th. Makeup starts at 3pm (inside burkes pub) 5$ to get makeup done by one of our artist. Walk starts at 5pm, costume contest is at 7pm. They will have maps the day of the walk for people that shows the route. The theme is BLACK & WHITE, think anything black and white horror, thriller, etc. They ask that you only wear the colors BLACK, WHITE & OR GREY.
