Saturday mornings belong to the kids. Heartwood Kids Club is a free weekly program filled with hands-on fun designed especially for children ages 4–8. Activities can include crafts, demonstrations, creative projects or interactive experiences each week brings a new surprise. Kids must be accompanied by an adult, so the whole family can enjoy a playful start to the weekend together. Happening every Saturday morning June 13th through September.

Curious George will visit for a special storytime! Children of all ages are welcome. Experience stories, creative movement, music and more. We explore the early literacy skills of singing, playing, reading, talking, and writing in each storytime. There will be opportunities to take photos.
Hop on by for a whole lot of cuddly cuteness! The Bunny Lady from Lambert Rabbitry is coming to town, and she's bringing her bunnies with her! There will be a fenced-off space in the store where kids can play and pet the bunnies. Plus, we'll have an adorable bunny-themed craft activity for them to do before they leave. Be prepared, though. Your heart WILL melt.
Spark Studio is a hands-on STEAM program for kids where creativity meets technology. Through fun challenges and interactive projects, participants build, design, and explore while developing problem-solving skills and confidence as makers. This is a free event for kids ages 7-12. Film Streams’ free outdoor movie series, Film Streams on the Green, is returning to North Downtown Omaha this summer and fall at Sonny's Builders District. On select Monday evenings July through October, moviegoers are invited to eat, drink and play movie trivia while enjoying a line-up of family favorites, cult classics and big-screen blockbusters. Each screening will begin at 7 pm.
Lil Rosies Teaching Artists, Breanna and Chloe, from The Rose Theater will be visiting to lead an interactive reading of the beloved book Just Ask!: Be Different, Be Brave, Be You by Sonia Sotomayor.
