Free fall film on the big screen where they will help celebrate 40 years of Ghostbusters and the newest franchise release! Before the movie, visit us at The Nines Plaza (adjacent to The Astro Amphitheater) for a ghostly good time as Nebraska’s version of an ectomobile will be on display alongside movie characters in costume. Don’t be afraid of no ghost, dress in your best costume and snap photos with our large selfie frame. Come hungry! The Astro’s concessions will be open inside the gates. The first 100 arrivals will receive a free small kettle corn from the City’s welcome booth.

Get ready for a WILD night! While parents enjoy a well-deserved date night, kids ages 5 to 12 year old will discover fun new ways to appreciate wildlife. Hosted by trained educators, each unique program includes pizza, snacks, animal experience, movie time, engaging and educational activities and more!

Bring the family out for a fun evening of activities and s’mores. Then decorate and launch your lantern at twilight! 4 Lanterns per family group, additional lanterns can be purchased during registration for $3 each.

Embrace the spirit of giving this fall at Omaha Children’s Museum’s second annual Pumpkins with a Purpose on Sunday, September 29, 11-3 at Granary Green! Food Trucks, Vendor Fair, Pony Rides, Mini Pumpkin Patch, Petting Zoo, Mechanical Bull, and more!

Kids can enjoy complimentary refreshments, hot dogs, and kid-friendly biking zones. Additionally, partners will be offering bicycle and gear raffles and giveaways. We’ll top it all off with mellow live music and a relaxed atmosphere for you to come and go between trail ride sessions with old and new friends.

The most talented bands in Omaha will entertain you, and the best part is that it’s completely free! There will be food and drink vendors, face painting, balloon artists, and playground equipment for kids to play on. Feel free to bring chairs, blankets, and coolers for the concerts.

Explore Nebraska’s prairies, wetlands and forests at Fontenelle Forest’s Habitat Hikes! Join their naturalist educators on a guided hike through these different habitats and learn about each of these unique ecosystems! Habitat Hikes will be held monthly, as they visit different locations and discover habitat changes each season.

Need a place to put that penny you found on the sidewalk, but don’t have any pockets? Stop in to the Treehouse to create your own coin pouch! Most appropriate for kids kindergarten through 6th grade.

This year’s annual All Hallows Eve Festival at Botna Bend promisesfun for the entire family including hayrack rides, cookie decorating, hot dogs, and trick or treating! The public is invited to participate in fun fall activities hosted by Botna Bend Park staff and campers.

The Creepy Carrots have trapped Jasper Rabbit in a box of candy! Can you solve the puzzles and clues quick enough to save Jasper Rabbit from the Creepy Carrots? Or will he eat all the candy before we can get to him? Come find out at this escape room based on the best-selling picture book "Creepy Carrots" by Aaron Reynolds. 

Trick or Treat at the Town – Children (toddler – age 12) trick-or-treating along the decorated trail through the town of St. Deroin. Pricing: $3 per person for adults and kids, 3 and under free (includes hayrack ride)

A frightfully fun event features trick-or-treating, enchanting characters, face painting, balloon twisters, and exciting gift card giveaways along Davenport Street! Don’t miss the free concert by the High Heel Band in the Amphitheater. 1-3: Trick or Treating, 3:00: flash mob, 3-5: Free Concert.

Come join the fun at Fremont Lakes State Recreation Area on October 12 for our Halloween campsite decorating contest and trick-or-treating! The decoration judging and trick-or-treating will both take place from 5-7 p.m. A valid park entry permit is required

This year, Ghouls & Glow is “short but extra sweet” with two weekends of family-friendly fun: October 17-20 and 24-27, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. each night. Ghouls & Glow will feature spellbinding performances by Omaha Circus Arts and Omaha Street Percussion. Guests will enjoy trick-or-treat stations, carousel rides, specialty fall-themed treats and lanterns throughout the entire event footprint. Mahoney Kingdoms of the Night and the Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium will be open for this event.

Join the Sons of the American Legion Squadron #1 as they present their 9th Annual “Kid’s Halloween Party & Trunk or Treat”. Come play a variety of interactive games for all ages. Free Movie: “Halloweentown.” Food and Drinks will also be FREE, but Donations are welcome! Win the “Costume Contest” at 12:30 pm. 1st, 2nd & 3rd PRIZES!!!
