The Circle Theatre will bring part of the cast of “Momotaro: the Peach Boy of Japan” to share what it’s like to put on a play. They’ll perform a scene from the play, teach us a traditional Japanese dance, and help us create a Japanese bunraku puppet so that we can be part of the action, too. You'll see the changing forest in a whole new light after this Halloween hike! Take part and examine how folklore can deepen your relationship with the forest and prairie. Learn about the plant, animal, and mineral communities of the Loess Hills and their significance in the seasonal folklore associated with Halloween. Fort Atkinson Candlelight Tour
Join for the Fort Atkinson Candlelight Tour! This year’s theme is “The Eve of Sgt. Winningham’s Wedding, and the Return of the 1825 Treaty Expedition”. This unique walking tour by candlelight among the historic buildings and around the grounds will take approximately one and a half hours. Each stop along the way will reveal another part of the evening’s theme, which is based on actual events. Because space is limited, reservations/tickets are required.
