This summer, step into the magic of Disney and discover the iconic looks of some of your favorite Disney characters in an enchanting, up-close experience for all ages. Heroes & Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume is a showcase of nearly 70 mesmerizing ensembles spanning close to five decades of Disney film and television.
Dinosaurs Around the World: Passport to Pangea
Step into a prehistoric adventure at Lauritzen Gardens with Dinosaurs Around the World: Passport to Pangea, on view May 30 through September 7, 2026. Produced by Imagine, this immersive traveling exhibition transforms the garden into a journey across ancient Earth, where life-sized animatronic dinosaurs roar, move, and captivate visitors of all ages.
Flower Festival at Nelson Produce Farm

Bring your swimsuit, gather your friends, and enjoy an afternoon of summer fun followed by food trucks and drinks in the park.
Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body (Adults)
For centuries, we’ve known that the health of the brain and the body are connected. But now, science can provide insights into how to make lifestyle choices that may help you keep your brain and body healthy as you age. Join us to learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement. Use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging. This presentation will be led by a volunteer from the Alzheimer’s Association. This is a free presentation for adults and does not require registration.

Each week, Quasar pairs up a local business with a local charitable cause, to present a “Classic” retro title for a “Free-to-the-Public ” event to raise awareness and support. This is a great way for your organization to educate and interact with an eager audience. Solicitation of free-will donations or mission-specific item donations can be part of pre-event, advertising co-op.

Heartwood Kids Club
Saturday mornings belong to the kids. Heartwood Kids Club is a free weekly program filled with hands-on fun designed especially for children ages 4–8. Activities can include crafts, demonstrations, creative projects or interactive experiences each week brings a new surprise. Kids must be accompanied by an adult, so the whole family can enjoy a playful start to the weekend together. Happening every Saturday morning June 13th through September.
Punt, Pass & Kick Competition
Everyone’s favorite football skills competition is returning to La Vista this fall. Punt, Pass & Kick is a friendly competition that is welcoming to girls and boys of all skill levels. Participation is fun and simple. Each participant completes three skills. (A football punt, pass and kick). Cumulative scores determine the winner for each division. Winners in each category earn an invitation to the state competition at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln. Girls and boys will compete in separate age divisions from 6 to 15 years old. Show up and compete on a first-come, first-served basis. (Pick the time that fits your schedule.) Register upon arrival, complete the three skills and go on your way. Soccer Field #6

Boomstock
Boomstock is more than just a concert, it's a celebration of the legendary 60s and 70s music that defined a generation. Hosted by Boomer Radio, this charity event brings the Omaha community together for a night of groovy tunes, good vibes, and giving back.
Opera Outdoors
Opera Omaha’s season kick-off concert returns in a new location – Stinson Park in Aksarben Village. Spread out your picnic blanket, kick off your shoes, and relax as the sounds of opera embrace you. This FREE, family-friendly favorite features opera’s greatest hits sung by world-class artists. Arrive early for the interactive Kids Zone, performances from local community organizations, and the joy of opera filling the park.
