NCAA Men’s College World Series 2026
The College World Series (CWS) is the culminating championship tournament of NCAA Division I baseball, held each June in Omaha, Nebraska. Featuring the final eight teams standing from a 64-team bracket, the CWS combines elite competition with a festive atmosphere, making it one of college sports’ most cherished traditions. The teams compete in a double-elimination format, culminating in a best-of-three finals to crown the national champion
Springfield Days 2026
Three days filled with a variety of fun activities for all ages in Springfield, NE, just a short drive from the Omaha and Lincoln areas. Friday evening's events begin at 5pm with a food, games, and entertainment. Saturday's highlights include 5K run/walk, pancake feed, corn hole tournament, kids foam party, parades, rubber duck race, food trucks, games, street dance with a live band, beer garden, fireworks show & more! We'll start off Sunday with an outdoor worship service along with refreshments, fun games, and activities. Prepare for a fantastic time!

Stomp and Shake Storytime

Pollinator Party at Schramm
Celebrate Nebraska pollinators at the Schramm Pollinator Party! The Schramm Education Center will be hosting a Pollinator Party event in partnership with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) Bee Lab, Nebraska Extension, the UNL Entomology Department, and PlantNebraska. This free, annual event is part of a statewide celebration of Nebraska Pollinator Week. Activities for all ages will be set up outside and in the Schramm Education Center Classroom.
Big Play Saturday: Stomp Chomp ROAR!
They're going to travel back in time millions of years to explore the amazing world of dinosaurs! Ranger Anthony from Stomp Chomp Roar will be here with a thrilling presentation to teach kids all about paleontology and the lives of dinosaurs. Stomp on by!

Kinderfest 2026
This annual event begins with a 5k road race starting in the City Park at 8 am, register in advance to receive a t-shirt or on race day starting at 7 am. The Kinderfest parade down Main Street begins at 11 am. Following the parade, the city park overflows with good old-fashioned fun! A petting zoo and blowups will await the kids. Game booths of all kinds will offer prizes: ring toss, duck races, basketball, cornhole, paddle wheel and more. Where Everyone is a Winner! Lots of food choices including: pulled pork, brisket, brats, burgers, walking tacos and home-made pie!
Kid Coders 10-12: Cars
Calling all gamers! Have a blast learning how to code while building robotic games to test your code. You will learn about sequencing commands, value and sensor inputs, and loops. This month you will create a racecar. Registration is required
Native Plant Platform
All activities are free and open to the public, from 11am to 2pm! Native Plant Platform: make a nature bookmark, craft a monarch butterfly, take home native seeds!
Babysitting Clinic
Become the best babysitter you can be! Training will include a babysitting guidebook, basic first aid, and age-appropriate practices for caring for infants, preschoolers, toddlers, and school age youth. The clinic is taught by Nebraska 4-H Extension staff. This is a free program for ages 11 and up. Registration is required
