Heroes & Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume
This summer, step into the magic of Disney and discover the iconic looks of some of your favorite Disney characters in an enchanting, up-close experience for all ages. Heroes & Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume is a showcase of nearly 70 mesmerizing ensembles spanning close to five decades of Disney film and television.
Elkhorn Days 2026
Enjoy a wide variety of activities over this 4-day festival, including the area’s largest parade, lots of live music, vendor booths, kids and family activities, Corn Hole, beer garden, fireworks, car show, and so much more! Fireworks Friday May 29th. Parade Saturday May 30th 10:30-Noon

29th Annual Taste of Omaha
The 2026 “TASTE OF OMAHA ” will again showcase outstanding Restaurants with exciting live entertainment daily. This year the Annual Event will have entertainment for everyone’s taste on stages throughout the Festival. All stage shows during the 3-day extravaganza are free to attend. Top National Entertainers combined with the best popular area bands and musicians will again be continuously performing throughout the Festival.

Dinosaurs Around the World: Passport to Pangea

All movie nights feature gates opening at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8. Falconwood Park encourages guests to arrive early to participate in themed activities and enjoy food and beverage offerings before each screening begins.

Life in a Different Light
Did you know some animals, plants, and even rocks can glow under special light—and you can see it too! Using a handheld blacklight, educators from Nebraska Wildlife Rehab will help uncover the science of biofluorescence with a unique presentation and hands-on glowing experiments! This is a free event for Teens 13+. Registration is highly encouraged
Audiobook Crafting Club
Looking for a unique way to enjoy your latest audiobook and meet fellow crafters? The Audiobook Crafting Club invites you to bring your audiobook, headphones and current project—whether it's knitting, crocheting, drawing, or something else—and settle in for a relaxed session of crafting and listening. This low-key, social-but-solo club is the perfect way to make progress on your projects, immerse yourself in a good story, and enjoy the quiet company of others doing the same. It's an ideal club for anyone who wants to craft more, read more, and casually build community.

Community Fishing Night at Fontenelle Park Pond
Look for the Family Fishing Trailer, where loaner rods and reels, bait and fishing instruction are available free to participants. Fishing Instructors are also available to provide helpful tips and answer questions. This is the perfect opportunity for people of all ages who have never been fishing or haven’t fished for years to learn.
Classics With a Cause Series: Groundhog Day
Each week, Quasar pairs up a local business with a local charitable cause, to present a “Classic” retro title for a “Free-to-the-Public ” event to raise awareness and support. This is a great way for your organization to educate and interact with an eager audience. Solicitation of free-will donations or mission-specific item donations can be part of pre-event, advertising co-op.

Art in the Park: Noticing Nature – Water-Soluable Pastels
Let’s take a closer look at the Plants in the park and our Farmer’s Market finds…..fruits & veggies and any other fun treasures we discover. Through close observation (with the help of a magnifying glass) we will play with Oil Pastels, Chalk Pastels and watercolor pencils to appreciate the beauty of Nature’s design. All materials included. Location: Arrival Plaza at The RiverFront Park. The workshop will take place near the entrance of the Kiewit Luminarium
Out & About Storytime: Dundee Community Garden
Join OPL at different parks and places for storytime, featuring stories, creative movement, music and more. Storytime is geared toward preschoolers, but all ages are welcome. Rain or shine, we'll be there!
Soccer Shots Community Play Day
Soccer Shots is bringing the fun to The RiverFront with a free, 30 minute soccer experience for children ages 2 to 5. Kids will run, play, and explore through exciting games while building confidence and learning basic soccer skills in a fun, positive, and energetic environment. Sign up on their site!
Night Market
As the sun sets and the warm summer breeze rolls in, Omaha’s original Night Market transforms Turner Park into a vibrant evening celebration. Join us for one of the city’s favorite summer traditions, where music, local makers, and community come together under the lights. Live Music - Featuring BluesEd from 6-8pm and Speck Nelson from 8-10pm.
Music & Memories Concert Series: Hysteria & Bad Co
Join for a special kickoff night on Friday, May 29th, from 6:30–9:00 PM, at the Texas Roadhouse Amphitheater.
Beats & Bites Stage: TBD
Enjoy an evening soundtrack at the market provided by some of the region’s most talented local musicians. Our Beats & Bites Stage performances feature a rotating lineup of solo acts and crowd favorites bringing everything from acoustic sets to soulful originals and covers. Bring a blanket, grab something delicious from the market or food trucks, and settle in for a relaxed evening of live music under the sky.
Stories After Dark: Coming Out
Join OPL for a fun storytelling event for adults! Experience compelling narratives and diverse perspectives in a vibrant atmosphere. Doors open at 6:45 PM for refreshments and mingling. Not ready for the stage? We need audience members to cheer on our storytellers.

Kids Market at Elkhorn Days
The Kids Markets is a nationwide movement that gives kids the platform to launch their own mini businesses. From slime to soaps, lemonade to lawn services—kids sell what they create, while learning real-life business and social skills.
Candy Sushi
Sushi with a twist! Come hang out and make your own sushi using Rice Krispie treats and candy. Learn about different types of sushi, test your skills with some chopstick games, and enjoy a fun (and tasty) challenge. All craft supplies are free and will be provided while supplies last.
Cheeky Rabbit Marionettes
Join for a magical puppet performance with Cheeky Rabbit Marionette Puppets! Enjoy an enchanting show full of music, storytelling, and beautifully handcrafted puppets brought to life. Stinson Park Concert Series: One2Go
