Unofficial Galaxies, one of the largest fan-owned Star Wars collections ever assembled. It is a traveling exhibit built by fans who spent decades preserving the stories, characters, and creativity that shaped a generation.

Young Playwrights Festival: A Rose Teens ‘N’ Theater Production
The Young Playwrights Festival showcases the work of some of the best teenage writers in the Omaha area. Most of the scripts featured in this production are created as part of The Rose’s yearlong Young Playwrights class, which is led by The Rose’s award-winning Playwright-in-Residence, Brian Guehring. Written entirely by teens, the works are filled with comedy, tragedy, hopes, fears, romance and all-out fun.

La Vista’s Spring Kite Festival
Families are invited to join us for a free afternoon of high-flying fun. You will see some of the world's largest and most creative kites right here in La Vista. Bring your own kites to fly and a bag to collect candy from the kite candy drops which take place throughout the event.
Forest Bathing
We will be immersing ourselves in nature using all senses to activate our parasympathetic nervous system, which brings feelings of calm and general well-being. We will have a sensory experience in the forest, quieting our thoughts and finding a sense of peace and well-being in nature. Come prepared for the elements. Due to the quiet and contemplative nature of this program, we request that participants are adults only.
Intro to 3D Print Design
Get to know the new OPL Do Space in our Skills Class! Each session will focus on learning a new skill, machine, or software. This session will focus on the introductory 3D modeling skills. Participants will be able to get to know the software Tinkercad and start their 3D printing journey! Register now for this 2-hour, hands-on program.
We Are the Buffalo and the Buffalo Are Us
Experience an interactive, sensory-filled drop-in program led by Renee Sans Souci, Umoⁿhoⁿ educator. She will have a variety of materials to touch and talk about, including buffalo hide, items made from buffalo, and samples of bison bites from Riverview Bison (while supplies last).

Gardening 101 for Kids
Learn more about gardening from a NE Extension Master Gardener and plant your own seed to take home! This event will take place outside, weather pending. In case of bad weather, it will be held in the Large Meeting Room.
Filipino Culture Exploration
Explore Filipino culture! Join us for a drop-in exhibit led by the Filipino-American Organization of Metro Omaha to learn about Filipino culture and crafts. In addition, this group will perform traditional Filipino dances from 3:30–4 p.m.
Filipino Folk Dance
Join for “Sayaw sa Cuyo” and “Pandanggo sa llaw,” traditional folk dances performed by the Filipino-American Organization of Metro Omaha. An exploratory table featuring Filipino crafts and information will be available before and after these special dances!

Using a handheld blacklight, educators from Nebraska Wildlife Rehab will help uncover the science of biofluorescence with a unique presentation and hands-on glowing experiments! The Audiobook Crafting Club invites you to bring your audiobook, headphones and current project—whether it's knitting, crocheting, drawing, or something else—and settle in for a relaxed session of crafting and listening. This low-key, social-but-solo club is the perfect way to make progress on your projects, immerse yourself in a good story, and enjoy the quiet company of others doing the same. It's an ideal club for anyone who wants to craft more, read more, and casually build community.
Eta Aquariids Meteor Shower Viewing
The event will begin with a brief evening hike on dirt-packed trails through the prairie and forest. Then as night falls, we will watch for shooting stars together while learning about meteor showers, seasonal constellations, and general astronomy. Members of the Omaha Astronomical Society will be available to share their expertise (and telescopes) during the program.

BioDiscovery Lab: Bacterial Ink
Get ready to be a scientist AND an artist! In this workshop, you’ll meet a special soil bacteria called Streptomyces that makes a super cool color-changing pigment. Your mission? Use water and a set of tools to figure out how to pull the color out of the bacteria’s jelly-like home. Once you’ve cracked the code, the real fun begins! You’ll mix and experiment in test tubes to see the color shift and change right before your eyes. Then you’ll use your very own “bacteria ink” to paint a one-of-a-kind masterpiece to take home.
