SAC Museum Exhibit – Mission: Astronaut
Welcome to Mission: Astronaut, a hands-on experience where visitors learn about space exploration, the technology that makes it possible, how it benefits life on Earth, and more through astronaut training challenges. Each section presents interactive tasks that require an astronaut’s mindset to solve and focus on engineering, physics, teamwork, and fun!
Cat Kid Comic Club: The Musical
Cat Kid and Molly Pollywog have started an epic club to teach 21 rambunctious baby frogs how to make their own comics! Their fishy father Flippy is overjoyed that his kids will learn to unleash their creativity, but when the frogs’ constant bickering and outrageous imaginations send their comics comically off the rails, Flippy flips out! Will the club survive? Will the frogs ever get along? And will creativity finally save the day? All will be answered in this madcap musical based on Dav Pilkey’s irreverently hilarious Dog Man spin-off series, Cat Kid Comic Club.

Embark on a dramatic adventure to Antarctica — one of the most isolated and dangerous environments on Earth — and witness the latest discovery: dinosaurs. While Antarctica is a frozen land of snow today, Antarctic Dinosaurs reveals the lush habitat it once was 200 million years ago and the unique animals that called it home. Visitors will learn about rare dinosaurs and the history of the continent with real fossils and engaging interactives. More than 60 fossils, full-scale replications, and touchable models. Numerous mechanical and digital interactives, including “excavation” interactives. Real and cast dinosaur skeletons, including Cryolophosaurus and Glacialisaurus. Meteorite from Antarctica
Forever Young Film Series: WALL-E
WALL-E 2008 Film. It’s the twenty-ninth century, and humans have long since fled Earth for outer space, leaving WALL-E, the last functioning trash-compacting robot, to go about the work of cleaning up a pollution-choked planet, one piece of garbage at a time. When he meets EVE, a fellow automaton sent to detect plant life, the pair are launched on an intergalactic quest to return humanity to Earth.

Join fellow book lovers for the in-person OPL Book Bash at the Library Administration Building. Attendees will hear about new and exciting books from library staff, have a chance to win bookish prizes, and get to mingle with fellow book lovers. Attendees will each take home a list of their favorite titles. Reading enthusiasts and book clubs are encouraged to attend! Adult beverages and light appetizers will be served. Rose Theater Stop & Go
In this highly interactive 30 minute play, the young audience members will work towards being able to identify basic sight words. This one actor play/puppet show includes songs, movement, sign language and dances for the young audience members to participate along with the trained actor/teaching artist.

Our Musical Stories
A small string or wind ensemble from the Omaha Symphony will perform music chosen to reflect the musicians’ decision to pursue music and/or their journey to Omaha. Each musician will share their personal story. This is a free event for all ages.
Container Gardening Workshop
With spring on the horizon, now is the time to start planting! Join Omaha Public Library to learn how to care for, plant, and propagate edible plants in containers from an Omaha Master Gardener. Participants will be given a pot, soil, and seeds to take home. This is a free event for adults 19+.

Joe Gatto Comedian
Joe Gatto is a comedian best known from the hit TV shows “Impractical Jokers” and “The Misery Index.” Most recently, he toured for two years with his stand-up solo show “Joe Gatto’s Night of Comedy” in sold out theaters across the United States, Canada and Australia. Prior to that, he has toured with the Jokers live comedy show to sold-out crowds across the world, including legendary arenas, such as Madison Square Garden in New York and the O2 Arena in London. Suggested for audiences 16+.

This is a free event for adults 19+. Join Omaha Public Library for a Regency-era social, inspired by the Bridgerton book series by Julia Quinn. Leprechaun Chase 10K
Leprechaun Chase – A 10K Run with a Twist. The Leprechaun Chase isn’t just a 10K with kilt-wearing bagpipers—this is a chase of lads versus lasses. The race kicks off with the lasses in the first wave, followed by the lads (5½ minutes later.) Whoever crosses the finish line first wins the coveted Leprechaun Chase Green Jacket. Who will it be this year? The pot o’ gold is in your court
Mystery at the Mansion: Murder at the Hatters Mardi Gras Ball
The neighborhood socialites have touted the Hatter’s Ball as the bash of the year in the isolated town of Bloodworth Falls. Mayor Riley White has organized the event in the old Bloodwood Castle as a diversion from the scandals that have plagued the town in recent months. Of course, it’s no coincidence the ball is scheduled right before the upcoming mayoral election. The mayor posted the invite list online, and your adversaries have already sent in their RSVPs. You’re intrigued and have decided you cannot miss an opportunity to seek revenge on those who have crossed you in the past. Now, you are on a hunt for the perfect hat. What a fun lead-up to Mardi Gras!
Participants will receive a character to portray as they arrive at Arbor Lodge Mansion.

Keith Sweat
The Keith Sweat performance originally scheduled for Nov. 23, 2024, at the Orpheum Theater has been rescheduled to Mar. 1, 2025, at 7:30 PM. Keith Sweat, a Harlem-born R&B singer/songwriter known for his distinctive vocal style, co-produced 1984/1985 singles by GQ and Roberta Gilliam and issued independent singles of his own (“Lucky Seven” and “My Mind Is Made Up”), but he didn’t release his debut full-length for Elektra, Make It Last Forever, until November 1987. The album sold over three million copies, spawning the hits “I Want Her” (number one R&B, number five pop), “Something Just Ain’t Right” (number three R&B), “Make It Last Forever” (number two R&B), and “Don’t Stop Your Love” (number nine R&B). It was followed in 1990 by I’ll Give All My Love to You, another million-seller, which featured the hits “Make You Sweat” (number one R&B, number 14 pop), “Merry Go Round” (number two R&B), “I’ll Give All My Love to You” (number one R&B, number seven pop), and “Your Love, Pt. 2” (number four R&B). Sweat’s third album was Keep It Comin’, an R&B chart-topper at the end of 1991 whose title track was another number one R&B hit.
