Sofia’s Play Garden at Lauritzen Opens
This brand-new garden is designed to spark imagination, discovery, and joy for visitors of all ages and abilities. Spanning an amazing acre, it offers an inclusive, sensory-friendly environment where children and families can learn, play, and connect with nature in meaningful ways. From larger-than-life birdhouses to sculptures that "sing" and from a plant petting zoo to a meditative labyrinth, this beautifully designed garden is a celebration of curiosity and connection!

Annual ceremony remembering ALL Veterans, especially the Post Veterans and Auxiliary members who passed this year. Lunch to follow at Post 1.
Memorial Day Patriotic Sensory Bin
Red White and AWESOME!! Join us for a DIY Patriotic Sensory Bin event!! Dig into the star spangled textures, and let your freedom sing as you explore the different textiles we add! This is a FREE, all ages event!! First come, first serve while supplies last.
Memorial Day Ceremony by Benson American Legion
Join the Benson American Legion Family Post #112 for their annual Memorial Day Ceremony. The keynote speaker will be Sons of The American Legion Detachment of Nebraska Adjutant, Chris Casey. The ceremony will take place in the veterans section at the top of the hill near the obelisk monument.
