Our much-anticipated summer exhibition, The Animation Academy: From Pencils to Pixels, invites visitors of all ages to leap into the fascinating realm of the cartoon genre. This unique exhibit provides a rare glimpse into the magic behind some of the most beloved animated films and characters, and offers a comprehensive exploration of the art, science, technology and history of animation.
Afro Fest Omaha
Afro Fest Omaha The Festival will showcase Live Music, Dance, Arts and Crafts, and authentic African cuisine, a Children Activities area, a learning and Arts exhibition section as welt as a variety of organizations, businesses, student groups, and other Individuals From the community who are working every day to connect with others, create a vision for themselves and their community, and inspire others to join them in their efforts.

Omaha Labor Day Parade
Please join Monday September 1st, 2025, for Omaha's 141st Labor Day Parade. The Route will start on 16th and Cass, and head south to Capitol, then head east to 12th, then head back north to Mike Fahey, and then head to the west and end at 13th.
Labor Day Playdoh Sensory Jars
Red, White, and AWESOME!! Celebrate Labor Day with us with a DIY Patriotic Sensory Playdoh Jar event!! 🇺🇸 Dig into the star spangled textures, and let your freedom sing as you explore the different textiles we add! $5 per participant, all ages welcome!! First come, first serve while supplies last!
Omahawks Labor Day Air Show
Join the Omahawks at Hawk Field at Standing Bear Lake (138th and Fort) for their 2025 Labor Day Air Show on Monday, September 1st from 11:45 am to 4:00 pm. Parking and admission is free. There is plenty of seating available. Food and drinks, including chips, pop, water, pizza, and baked goods, are available for purchase.
