Costumes encouraged. Patios waiting. Tails wagging! Dress your pup in their best costume and head to Midtown Crossing for the inaugural Midtown Pup Crawl & Treat Trail, presented by Bloc Fitness. Pick up an Event “Pawsport”. Explore participating establishments and event booths, while collecting treats for your dog and stamps for your Pawsport. Put your pup in the spotlight with the Costume Contest and Photo Booth hosted by Long Dog Fat Cat. Enjoy All Day Happy Hour on the patios of participating establishments.

We will explore these dark genres, devour new book recommendations, and delight in sinfully delicious mocktails. Attendees will walk away with 20 spooky book offerings hand-picked by staff experts. Transform decorative pumpkins into BOO-tiful or SPOOK-tacular sights! It is encouraged to wear clothes and shoes that can get a little messy! This is a free event for kids ages 4-12. Registration is required.
31st Annual Haunted Hollow at Indian Cave State Park
6-8 p.m.: Trick-or-Treat on the Town – Children up to age 12 are invited to go trick-or-treating along the decorated trail through the town of St. Deroin. A food truck will also be available. Pricing: $3 per person ages 4+, free for ages 3 and under (includes hayrack ride).

Brunch & Learn – UFOs
This presentation is a beginners guide to understanding the UFO phenomena, with a specific focus on local cases and eyewitness accounts. Brian J. Corey of the Necronomicast will cover all things alien, from early reported accounts to famous cases throughout history. Brunch will be provided, so come hungry!

Get ready for a spooktacular time at Village Pointe’s Halloween Boo Bash! Trick-or-Treating, Special Characters, balloon twisting, OPD SWAT and Cruiser Vehicles and more all along Davenport Street!
Outdoor Osteology at Mahoney State Park
Join us Saturday, Oct. 10 at the James Family Conservatory and Nature Center to learn about osteology (bones and skeletons) at our Halloween Happenings Open House! Stop in between 1 and 4 p.m. to identify owl bones, peek in an owl pellet, sketch a skull, see snake and bat skeletons and more as you explore the nature center. This activity is free and open to the public, but a valid state park vehicle permit is required for entry.
31st Annual Haunted Hollow at Indian Cave State Park
2 p.m.: Pumpkin Roll for all ages; $3 per person. 6-8: Trick-or-Treating in RV Campground. 7 – 9 p.m.: Haunted Hayrack Rides – Adults: $10, kids ages 4-12 yrs: $7, ages 3 and under: free. Tickets go on sale on October 1 and may be purchased by phone or in person. Limited tickets and no refunds. 9 p.m.: Campsite Decorating Contest Judging
Chili Fest
Bring the whole family out and enjoy a warm bowl of chili in the crisp fall air at the Arrowhead Park Chili Fest. This annual fall tradition promises fun for the whole family! Join for games, pumpkin painting, and of course, CHILI! hayrack ride trick or treating will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A $3/vehicle park entry fee or membership is required to enter the park. Free-will donations will be gratefully accepted. This event will be held rain or shine. Please meet at Breezy Lodge.
Halloween Trick-or-Treating & Campsite Decorating Contest
Come join the fun at Fremont Lakes State Recreation Area on Saturday, October 10 for our annual Halloween campsite decorating contest and trick-or-treating! The decoration judging and trick-or-treating will both take place from 5-7 p.m. at the Victory Lake and Pathfinder campgrounds on the southwest side of the park.
