Midtown Pup Crawl & Treat Trail
Costumes encouraged. Patios waiting. Tails wagging! Dress your pup in their best costume and head to Midtown Crossing for the inaugural Midtown Pup Crawl & Treat Trail, presented by Bloc Fitness. Pick up an Event “Pawsport”. Explore participating establishments and event booths, while collecting treats for your dog and stamps for your Pawsport. Put your pup in the spotlight with the Costume Contest and Photo Booth hosted by Long Dog Fat Cat. Enjoy All Day Happy Hour on the patios of participating establishments.

What is Oobleck? Oobleck is slime without the stretch. It is a slime that can be any color an only takes three ingredients to make. You can even make it at home! Kick off spooky season with a science activity that is sure to be a goopy good time!

Curiosity Crew: Pumpkin Pillars
Curiosity Crew is a hands-on STEM class for children under the age of six! Each month we cover a science topic and complete an activity or art project associated with that concept. This month, we’re learning about gravity, weight, and how to construct a stable tower. After the lesson, kiddos will have a chance to build a tower that can support the weight of a small pumpkin.
Mysteries & Mocktails (Adults)
Read if you dare! This program is designed for mystery, horror, and true crime readers. We will explore these dark genres, devour new book recommendations, and delight in sinfully delicious mocktails. Attendees will walk away with 20 spooky book offerings hand-picked by staff experts. Registration is required.

Join Mister K and his friends for his 4th annual Trunk or Treat! Come in your best Halloween costumes and get candy in a safe and welcoming environment. October 10th from 11am-2pm (sensory friendly from 11am-12pm).
Brunch & Learn – UFOs
This presentation is a beginners guide to understanding the UFO phenomena, with a specific focus on local cases and eyewitness accounts. Brian J. Corey of the Necronomicast will cover all things alien, from early reported accounts to famous cases throughout history. Brunch will be provided, so come hungry!

Get ready for a spooktacular time at Village Pointe’s Halloween Boo Bash! Trick-or-Treating, Special Characters, balloon twisting, OPD SWAT and Cruiser Vehicles and more all along Davenport Street!
Outdoor Osteology at Mahoney State Park
Join us Saturday, Oct. 10 at the James Family Conservatory and Nature Center to learn about osteology (bones and skeletons) at our Halloween Happenings Open House! Stop in between 1 and 4 p.m. to identify owl bones, peek in an owl pellet, sketch a skull, see snake and bat skeletons and more as you explore the nature center. This activity is free and open to the public, but a valid state park vehicle permit is required for entry.
Chili Fest
Bring the whole family out and enjoy a warm bowl of chili in the crisp fall air at the Arrowhead Park Chili Fest. This annual fall tradition promises fun for the whole family! Join for games, pumpkin painting, and of course, CHILI! hayrack ride trick or treating will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A $3/vehicle park entry fee or membership is required to enter the park. Free-will donations will be gratefully accepted. This event will be held rain or shine. Please meet at Breezy Lodge.
Halloween Trick-or-Treating & Campsite Decorating Contest
Come join the fun at Fremont Lakes State Recreation Area on Saturday, October 10 for our annual Halloween campsite decorating contest and trick-or-treating! The decoration judging and trick-or-treating will both take place from 5-7 p.m. at the Victory Lake and Pathfinder campgrounds on the southwest side of the park.
