The Rockbrook Village Art Fair is a two-day outdoor juried art fair in Omaha, Nebraska on September 12 & 13, 2026. Monarch Tagging: Community Science Day
A morning of butterfly tagging at the Neale Woods prairie, where you will learn how to get involved in national conservation efforts. Naturalist educators will explain the background of the Monarch Watch tagging project and show participants how to safely catch and tag the butterflies. Participants can take a set of tags home after the program to continue protecting these iconic butterflies in their own communities!
World O! Water Festival
World O! Water is a fun, annual event for all ages to learn about the important role water plays in our lives and community. Everyone is welcome to this free event including families, youth groups and scout troops, and even your dog! Join in the fun on Saturday, September 12th from 12 noon til 4 pm at Chalco Hills Recreation Area. Enjoy a free hotdog lunch while supplies last.
Fall Fest Pop Up Pumpkin Patch
Celebrate the start of Fall with an afternoon of pumpkins, cold beer, live music and family friendly fun at our annual Fall Fest! They’ve teamed up with the Kumpf Family Farm to bring a real pumpkin patch right to the brewery. Browse pumpkins of every shape and size, along with fall decor including corn stalks, hay bales and milo to get your home ready for autumn. For the kiddos: Live Bunnies, Face Painting, Balloon artist, corn pit dig, yard games, slushies, ice cream and more!
35th Annual Fort Omaha Intertribal Powwow
The Fort Omaha Intertribal Powwow highlights Native American dance, music, regalia, oral history and arts. With its rich ties to Native American history, where Ponca Chief Standing Bear and his people were detained pending the 1879 landmark civil rights case granting Native Americans the right of Habeas corpus, the Fort Omaha Campus continues to offer an ideal location for this outdoor community event uniting people of diverse cultures, races, socioeconomic backgrounds and ages. This event is family-friendly and free and open to the public.
Celebrating Native American cultures, the powwow honors the traditional dance, music, artistry, oral history and foods of various tribes across Nebraska and the surrounding region including Omaha, Ponca, Santee Sioux and Winnebago.
