You’re invited to a night of flappers, champagne and art deco as Flappers & Fizz returns to The Durham Museum on Saturday, February 22, 2025, 7-10PM! Each ticket receives entry to the event, light hors d'oeuvres, one drink ticket and a mystery game packet. Join fellow book lovers for the in-person OPL Book Bash at the Library Administration Building. Attendees will each take home a list of their favorite titles. Reading enthusiasts and book clubs are encouraged to attend! Adult beverages and light appetizers will be served. Learn to be a better babysitter with 4H. Registrants will receive 5 hours of training and leave with a babysitting kit (guidebook, activities, and first-aid supplies), skills to babysit responsibly for different age groups, and a knowledge base on the business-end of babysitting. In this highly interactive 30 minute play, the young audience members will work towards being able to identify basic sight words. This one actor play/puppet show includes songs, movement, sign language and dances for the young audience members to participate along with the trained actor/teaching artist.

Joe Gatto is a comedian best known from the hit TV shows “Impractical Jokers” and “The Misery Index.” Most recently, he toured for two years with his stand-up solo show “Joe Gatto’s Night of Comedy” in sold out theaters across the United States, Canada and Australia. Prior to that, he has toured with the Jokers live comedy show to sold-out crowds across the world, including legendary arenas, such as Madison Square Garden in New York and the O2 Arena in London. Suggested for audiences 16+.
This is a free event for adults 19+. Join Omaha Public Library for a Regency-era social, inspired by the Bridgerton book series by Julia Quinn. Leprechaun Chase – A 10K Run with a Twist. The Leprechaun Chase isn’t just a 10K with kilt-wearing bagpipers—this is a chase of lads versus lasses. The race kicks off with the lasses in the first wave, followed by the lads (5½ minutes later.) Whoever crosses the finish line first wins the coveted Leprechaun Chase Green Jacket. The neighborhood socialites have touted the Hatter’s Ball as the bash of the year in the isolated town of Bloodworth Falls. Mayor Riley White has organized the event in the old Bloodwood Castle as a diversion from the scandals that have plagued the town in recent months. Of course, it’s no coincidence the ball is scheduled right before the upcoming mayoral election. The mayor posted the invite list online, and your adversaries have already sent in their RSVPs. You’re intrigued and have decided you cannot miss an opportunity to seek revenge on those who have crossed you in the past. Now, you are on a hunt for the perfect hat. What a fun lead-up to Mardi Gras!

The Keith Sweat performance originally scheduled for Nov. 23, 2024, at the Orpheum Theater has been rescheduled to Mar. 1, 2025, at 7:30 PM. Keith Sweat, a Harlem-born R&B singer/songwriter known for his distinctive vocal style, co-produced 1984/1985 singles by GQ and Roberta Gilliam and issued independent singles of his own (“Lucky Seven” and “My Mind Is Made Up”), but he didn’t release his debut full-length for Elektra, Make It Last Forever, until November 1987. The album sold over three million copies, spawning the hits “I Want Her” (number one R&B, number five pop), “Something Just Ain’t Right” (number three R&B), “Make It Last Forever” (number two R&B), and “Don’t Stop Your Love” (number nine R&B). It was followed in 1990 by I’ll Give All My Love to You, another million-seller, which featured the hits “Make You Sweat” (number one R&B, number 14 pop), “Merry Go Round” (number two R&B), “I’ll Give All My Love to You” (number one R&B, number seven pop), and “Your Love, Pt. 2” (number four R&B). NARUTO: The Symphonic Experience is a live concert that brings the beloved anime to life on a grand scale. The event features a film montage of iconic scenes from over 220 episodes, synchronized to a live orchestra performing Toshio Masuda's original score. As the orchestra blends rock, pop, and traditional Japanese instruments like the Shakuhachi and Shamisen, fans will relive Naruto Uzumaki's journey to become Hokage, facing rivalries, challenges, and growth along the way.

Get ready to launch into fun! In this exciting workshop, kids will construct their very own rubber band-powered helicopters. They'll learn about aerodynamics and simple mechanics while creating a toy that really flies, perfect for some high-flying fun!
Ages 10-18. This month we are making potato pancakes. The recipe will contain potatoes, eggs, flour, and vegetable oil. Registration is required by March 2 to participate. Space is limited.
Stop by the Youth Department at Sump for a fun craft! Supplies will be available (while they last) for one hour for this self-guided activity. Community Helpers from the Police and Fire Departments will be joining.
