We might need a bigger boat…or at least a bigger bingo card! Bring your friends or family to celebrate Shark Week with bingo. No prior knowledge of sharks is required to enjoy the game. This is a free event for adults and children ages 5 and older. Registration is required.

Join for a 30 minute yoga inspired storytime with Root & Roar Yoga at Bayliss Park! Most appropriate for kids 5 and younger and an adult companion. Please bring your own mat, beach towel, or blanket to the park. In the event of inclement weather this program will be moved to the Library

Become the best babysitter you can be! Training will include a babysitting guidebook, basic first aid, and age-appropriate practices for caring for infants, preschoolers, toddlers, and school age youth. The clinic is taught by Nebraska 4-H Extension staff. This is a free program for ages 11 and up. Registration is required

Join our community partners from Papio NRD for an interactive program all about insects! Kids will explore real specimens, learn fun facts, and discover why insects are essential to healthy ecosystems. This is a free event for kids. Registration is required.

July Theme: Experiments! Get ready to get a little messy! This summer we’re keeping our STEM skills sharp and our hypotheses ready with kid’s experiments. Experiments will use simple household items, may vary depending on age range, and come with all necessary safety equipment. If weather allows, a portion of the program will take place outside.

Strap in! Miss Tina is taking you to outer space! She'll start the fun with an out-of-this-world storytime. Then, she'll lead a galactic guided yoga session followed by a fun craft activity to make and bring back to Earth. It's going to be a blast!

Enjoy a special storytime with officers from the Papillion Police Department. Storytime will be held outside weather permitting (blankets are encouraged). If the weather is bad, storytime will be in the Youth Department inside Sump.

Spark Percussion brings drums and mallet instruments together to create high energy shows for all audiences! In the event of inclement weather, this program will be moved to Library Meeting Room B.

Get ready for a roaring good time! In this hands-on musical experience inspired by Dinosaurumpus!, kids become the musicians as they explore the many ways percussion instruments make sound—shaking, scraping, and striking along with the story. Guided by a staff member from the Omaha Symphony, young participants will stomp, chomp, and make music together while discovering how rhythm brings this dino-filled tale to life.
