This June, Kiewit Luminarium will be bringing some interactive museum experiences to RiverFront parks. Baseball fans, have you ever wondered where the "sweet spot" on a baseball bat is? Why can some hits send the ball into the stands and others not? You may find your home run stats soaring after experimenting with the Luminarium’s “Sweet Spot” exhibit. After storytime, learn about the real creatures we read about through live wildlife interactions and activities. This month we will learn about snakes.

In this hands-on musical experience inspired by Dinosaurumpus!, kids become the musicians as they explore the many ways percussion instruments make sound—shaking, scraping, and striking along with the story. Join OPL at Lauritzen Gardens for stories that celebrate gardens, plants, insects and more, and discover the joys of nature, movement, music, and literature. Storytime is geared for preschoolers, but all ages are welcome. Lauritzen Gardens will offer free admission to families who attend this storytime.

The Kids Markets is a nationwide movement that gives kids the platform to launch their own mini businesses. From slime to soaps, lemonade to lawn services—kids sell what they create, while learning real-life business and social skills.
Through step-by-step instruction, participants will learn how to create custom garden flags using the Cricut machine! Registration is required.
Bring a chair and enjoy an evening of music downtown with friends and family every 3rd Thursday from 6 to 8PM, May through September.
Concerts begin at 7:00PM and are free and open to all ages. Community members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, enjoy downtown Council Bluffs, and experience a wide variety of live music performances in the heart of the city.
Each week, Quasar pairs up a local business with a local charitable cause, to present a “Classic” retro title for a “Free-to-the-Public ” event to raise awareness and support. This is a great way for your organization to educate and interact with an eager audience.
