Dozer Day is a fun filled experience for kids to get behind the wheel of real machines the construction industry uses everyday. Kids hop in the driver’s seat and actually drive dozers, excavators and other heavy equipment with a professional operator at their side.

Husker Watch Party in the Texas Roadhouse Amphitheater! Starting at 11AM They’ll have the Husker game vs. Purdue playing on a jumbo screen. This family friendly event will have grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, adult beverages, and games!

Experience traditional Oktoberfest fun with a modern twist in City Centre! Main Street will be closed to make way for an outdoor Husker Football watch party on the big screen, live music, games and activities, food trucks, and of course, a beer garden. Festival themed fun includes an Oktoberfest costume contest, beer stein holding contest, pretzel tossing game and cornhole for good measure. Local bands include: Evans & Moore, Kenny Janak Orchestra and Funk Trek.

Continental Drift Music Festival is a one-day, grassroots music festival held in Nebraska. Free fall film on the big screen where they will help celebrate 40 years of Ghostbusters and the newest franchise release! Before the movie, visit us at The Nines Plaza (adjacent to The Astro Amphitheater) for a ghostly good time as Nebraska’s version of an ectomobile will be on display alongside movie characters in costume. Don’t be afraid of no ghost, dress in your best costume and snap photos with our large selfie frame. Come hungry! The Astro’s concessions will be open inside the gates. The first 100 arrivals will receive a free small kettle corn from the City’s welcome booth.

Get ready for a WILD night! While parents enjoy a well-deserved date night, kids ages 5 to 12 year old will discover fun new ways to appreciate wildlife. Hosted by trained educators, each unique program includes pizza, snacks, animal experience, movie time, engaging and educational activities and more!

Each October, the Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) provides a Halloween event for individuals with disabilities and their families to participate in sensory-friendly (no loud music) trick-or-treating fun at MMI. All are welcome and costumes are optional. Join for fun inside! This event includes accessible trick or treat stations spread throughout the first floor of MMI.

Halloween in the Haymarket is a family friendly and free-to-attend event where Downtown Lincoln closes down Canopy Street and uses the Railyard and Iron Horse Park to have a giant trick-or-treat party with lots of entertainment and fun activities. Wear your costumes, be ready to trick-or-treat with your favorite downtown businesses, and join in on all the fun. Activities include face painting, balloon artists, a live quick draw caricature artist, a dance party, and more! All free for you and your family!
