This after school activity for ages 8-14 is the perfect way to unwind after school. Join Ms. Rachel and Ms. Ashley for a new craft every month as well as some tasty snacks! We will be meeting every fourth Thursday of the month at 4 p.m. (Children ages 8-10 need to have a guardian stay in the library).

Teams from across Nebraska will compete for the title of Nebraska State Champion and the opportunity to represent the state at the 2027 U.S. National Snow Sculpting Competition.

You'll be putting together multiple puzzles in a 2ish hour time frame. The fastest team (cumulative time) will win the top prize. Each team will be a team of up to 4 people. It's that time of year again! Bring the family out for our annual Maple Tree Tap at Botna Bend Park and learn the basics of syrup making—from tapping the trees to bottling the final product. You'll even get to explore the syrup shack at Botna Bend and learn how we make this sweet, sticky treat for our annual Pancake Feed every fall. Local maple syrup samples will also be available as supplies last.
Sample sap right from the tree before gathering around a campfire to learn about the syrup-making process. Taste various maple syrups and create a memento of your day to take home.
Come create your own comedy stories with Shelly Nosbisch from the Nebraska Writers Collective! Participants will use a prompted writing activity to create their own project and share it with the others, if they want. This is a free program for ages 8-12. Registration is required.
Celebrate the sunlight! You lose an hour of sleep, but you gain an hour of sun! Join us for sunlight and spring crafts, music, and vibes. Grades 6-12 welcome, no library card or registration required.
